KFFL reports:
Bears Sack Hutchinson, Orton to Start
The Chicago Bears have named rookie QB Kyle Orton as their new starting quarterback for the start of the 2005 season. He replaces QB Chad Hutchinson, as does QB Jeff Blake, who is now the No. 2 QB.
I don't know about the rest of ya....but I love it that we're gonna face a rookie QB in the first week!

Dangit!!! I wanted to face hutchenson so bad!!!! College quarterbacks are better then him. Why couldn't we get him? Oh well.....Lets hope LaVar starts so he can welcome this rookie into the NFL properly.

Kyle Orton looks pretty good out there, and I think he gives the Bears their best chance, but Gregg William's will harrass, and utterly embarass this kid.
What a way to start your career. Cornelius Griffin, Lavar Arrington, Sean Taylor, Marcus Washington taking turns with you.
I can't wait.

hmmmmmmmmm........rookie qb and probably no running back (benson).
The pressure will all be on the Redskins. I was hoping we would have faced them with their best team. Now, we won't get a true indicator until Dallas.

Who gives a crap about a "true indicator". The NFL is about WINS.
These guys are professionals and will go out and compete with us. We have to WIN the game, then worry about the Cowgirls.

OK, I admit it, I'm nervous about the Bears game.

Gibbs always wins the opener... Except in 1981.

The Bears game will be a good way for us to start the season. Their defense is pretty solid, and it will also be good for our offense to establish ourselves by successfully running the ball on a defense anchored by B. Urlacher, and get something going with our passing offense.
On the other hand, they have no chances against our defense in my opinion.
I look for us to dominate the time of possession in this game. I don't think Orton will be able to figure out what is coming at him from GW.
Our starters will not play much in the last preseason game, everyone will be fresh and I think we are probably already preparing for that game.

We all should be a little nervous. We should not overlook anybody or it will come back to haunt us. Many are already talking about Dallas. That's a no no in this league.

This should be a walk in the park...but we should'nt overlook ANYONE.

Don't want anybody to get too cocky, but our defense HAS to be licking its chops over this.
Anybody else feel a little bad for Lovie Smith btw? What a crap team he agreed to coach.

I am not looking past the Bears. We should take it one game at a time and take every game seriously. I dont care if Ryan Leaf was starting, never look past any team.

He will be on the ground until the end.

Shows very good accuracy in the short-to-intermediate passing game, but he has a bit of a long windup and the ball fails to come off his hands quickly when having to throw long … Better throwing from the pocket, as his passes seem to lack velocity and accuracy when he is forced to throw on the move …

Good way to have our offense transition into the season and prepare for Dallas, but wont over look, "Any Given Sunday" guys.

All this means is that the Bears are going to try extra hard to get a ball control game started. All the D will need to do is control the line of scrimmage for a few series, and the Bears will need to start trying to pick up bigger chunks... then the fun will start.
The Bears will likely end up with a spooked rookie QB.

Come on, who doesn't enjoy a good defensive battle? Hopefully we can scare a little rookie QB half to death. What was that old video game where you sack the QB a few times and the guy says, "I eat quarterbacks for breakfast!"
