If it can happen ..........

...to my favourite australian football team, it can happen to the skins.
Anyone who has seen my sig recently will have seen me posting the record for my team - The Adelaide Crows - and today we finally overtook the previously top team from Perth. I have noticed some nice parralels between the Crows and Redskins.
We got a "new" coach last season, one who had been with the team the last 2 times we won it all. During the season we played poorly and finished with a poor record after loosing a fair number of close games. However we did finish with promising results at the end of last season. We had one of the best defenses in the league but found it very difficult to score enough to win games.
This year we started poorly in the preseason only winning 1 game and looking worse than last season - most of the so called experts picking us to finish in the bottom 2 (we only have one division of 16 teams).
Does any of this sound familiar, because I think it did.
Here comes the good bit. The season commenced a bit better than preseason but we still 3 wins and 4 losses when suddenly it all came together and we have gone 14 and 1 since, winning the last 10 games in a row (we have even had a couple of record scores/wins as well)including beating our most hated rivals twice.
Anyway we have now completed the regular season in first place for the first time ever
