Sorry I don't know how to link that flash video.
Who is your favorite pro athlete?
GW: Sean Taylor.
There was no hesitation in his voice when he said this. Sean "The Beast" Taylor is going to own the field this year. All I can say is look out WRs & TEs, better make sure your chin straps are buckled tight and hold on to that mouth piece!

I also liked his answer on whats the best thing about be a Redskins. He said something along the lines of winning a Superbowl.

I hope we're all accurate in our assumptions that Gregg Williams will take the helm for us later on.

As long as he is in charge of our defense, I am a happy fan about our defense.

GW is a great defensive coordinator...not neccessarily a great head coach. Not saying he's not the choice, but as of today we're lucky to have COACH GIBBS.
Ps- since when is sean taylor number 21? what happened to 36
pps- I had a thought today about Gibbs...when the Redskins were for sale didn't Joe back one of the other guys against snyder?

I think that Greg is very supportive of Joe and wants to be here to be a part of the team. I do not think he has any agenda yet about the possibilities of being the head coach either here or elsewhere. This sort of speculation may be "fashionable" but he does not seem to be that type to me.

I think you took me the wrong way. I dont think Gregg want's Joe's job. I think that all coaches want to be a head coach at some point and I think that Gregg wants to be a head coach again some day, the same thing with Fassel. I think that Gregg is learning a lot from Joe. If Joe can get this offense to be successful in the next 3 years, he'll definately give Gregg something to work with in addition to everything else he's soaked up from Gibbs. Greggs only weakness was in his offense and I think he'll have grown greatly in the next 3-4 years. Plus many believe that Gibbs will stay on board in some facet.

I'm a little uncertain about Williams' ability as a head coach but I think when Joe leaves, we will still have one of the best, if not THE best coaching staffs in the league.
As long as he has control of the defense, I hope Williams stays as long as possible.
The current Redskins defense is the fastest and most energetic defense I've been fortunate enough to witness in person.

Couldn't Gregg be compared to Bill B.? Gregg is a defensive guru like Bill and not as strong on the offense? If we can get Gregg someone who can carry on with this offense successfully we wont miss a beat. Or do I have Bill Bellicheck(spelling) all wrong?

I always pictured when Gibbs was brought back, somewhere in the discussion the "Future of the Redskins after Gibbs II" had to have come up. I believe Williams was the answers to this discussion for GIbbs and/or "the Danny" and Joe.
Williams is being groomed by the best. He has held the position before (So he know's some of the pitfalls). ANd as of now he can just soak up the knowledge.
Greg Williams is in better position to get a head coaching job than any Assistian Head Coach in the NFL, but he is paid better than some of the current Head Coaches. He is in no rush to have more preasure heaped on him.
2007-2008

Campbell might have been GW pick.....

For some reason BB didn't hire a OC this off-season, we know why he didn't pick up a DC. This year we will see where Bill stands on coaching the offense.
This will have no effect on how Gregg would work out as a Head Coach. He has a track record that he probably want's to forget some of, but again he'll continue to learn from Gibbs.

Would Gregg hiring a OC kinda make him like Bill? Kinda, sorta, or am I just completely off base.

Gregg Williams as the future head coach. I guess it could work since he is learning from a Hall of Famer. But for now, I am happy Gregg is in charge of the defense.

Yeah definately, Im just thinking ahead for the future. Nobody take this as I want Gibbs gone but take it as I like Gregg so much that I wouldnt mind him sticking around.

It might be the other way around.
Once Gibbs get the ship righted, he may only stick around until Williams is ready

Like I said on one of the other boards, the more I hear him talk the more respect I have for him. He supports ST and his team. Not too mention we have a lot of the same likes, Steak, A Few Good Men and ST.
