Good Feeling

I know I have been negative and we have sucked in the preseason. But for some reason I think we will be okay. Not great, but we could make the first round of the playoffs. Our D is good and we have a short ydg. back now. Patten is a huge upgrade over Gardner.

ey will be better just because he will play the whole season. Te will be better because Royal will play the whole season. Anyone is better than Brunell. O-line has been looking good. I think our team might make the playoffs. I don't think we will go far or anywhere near the NFC championship, but I think we will be okay. Don't know why, just a gut feeling.

This team has all the right ingredients to be successful. If we just don't make turnovers we will win a lot of games.

Just think about this!
Some dude(Bostic?) during the Panthers game said that last season we only needed 21 points in every game to have won 14 games. Thats how good our defense is.
Do you think our offense can score 21 points or close to that in every game?
Defense 2004 vs 2005
2004: Peirce and Smoot are the difference
2005: Arrington, Daniels, Bowen, Priouleau, Barnes, McCune, Carlos Rogers, Jared Newberry are all people who weren't here last year. Some of these cats are IMPACT players, some of them are young and show a lot of promise?
Improved defense? Heck yea!
Its ironic how we get blasted for trying to sign the entire free agent pool but the one year we're quiet and do things the right way to make a big difference we get blasted for that too.

Manfreda being optimistic. A day I never thought I would see. I once asked you a question are you with us or against us. I see where your heart really is now.
I think every thing you said was true. But I could see us making a run if we get to the playoffs. Just because I don't see anybody out-coaching Gibbs in the playoffs.

I was just looking at the preseason games and Ramsey has improved (from Carolina to Bengals), the o-line looked good and that is without Portis running the ball. We know our d is going to be good. The preseason games have gotten me optimistic. I presonally think that our O is going to run, run, run and not pass at very much. But with Betts and Portis sharing the load
it won't be a problem. Also with Nemo in short yardage, we will convert on every third and short or goal. I think its very realistic we could make the playoffs. Now getting deep into the playoffs is, but just getting there isn't. Think of it, if we converted on every third and short, our O would have been really good last year. Even with the passing attack last year that was a joke.

I've got to go along with the good vibes. OL is looking much better than I thought it would.
I'm impressed with Patten and in love with Nemo and the prospect of short yardage TD's and first down plunges. The running game could work...we might have enough of a deep threat.

ey's going to have to have a hell of a season as a posession receiver as well as a blocker. These guys are key: Nemo,

ey, and Patten. The others will be alright--few worries except injury. Ramsey not a problem. The variables are actually Nemo,

ey, and Patten.

This has to be some sort of joke Manfreda and Crazy are playing on us all. Not funny you guys. Some of these kids may actually fall for it and be really hurt when you reveal your sick and twisted joke....

Im glad you feel this way. I think we have a very good team this year. I can't believe we only have 2 weeks to go. Our team hasn't gotten worse at any position except POSSIBLY MLB.
