NFL Live's Top Ten Fantasy Players!

Don't have the whole list on me but they rated Clinton Portis as #5. They rated him higher than Randy Moss, Jamal Lewis, and even Peyton Manning! I thought that last one was definately a little silly but I guess that RBs have an advantage in most fantasy leagues. The main point that they made was that Portis was still a good fantasy player last season in a down year but with the additions on our line and the amount of carries he'll get he's going to be great this season. I hope they are right, nice to get a little love for once.

Portis is gonna have a monster season but being better than Manning...I don't think so. That might be going a little far but then again, who knows.

I hope he does, but I don't think he will get as many TDs as some of those other guys.

Portis really screwed my fantasy team last year; he never put up great numbers. He was also injured down the stretch. Nonetheless, I still finished 3rd in spite of a bad 1st pick.

I know RB is by far the most valuable position in fantasy but I'd still take Manning over anyone. Assuming he stays healthy (which he has done every season) he is a lock to throw for well over 4000 yards and 40-45 TDs. You can't beat that.

Manning is not a lock for 40-45 TDs lol.
He's probably a lock for 4k yards and 30 TDs. He's only topped 30 TDs once before last year. He'll be a great QB for fantasy I'm sure, but RBs are far more important in most fantasy leagues.
IMO Clinton is going to come close to 2k yards and 15 TDs this season. If I get the chance to draft him in my league I'm jumping on it. I usually don't pick Redskins btw
LT is the only RB I'd pick ahead of him with Alexander right in the mix.

Only 30 TDs? That's less than 2 a game!! Did you watch the Colts offense last year???
Assuming he stays healthy, which he has done every season, he is a LOCK for 40 TDs. I'll stand by that forever. He has gotten better every year and the weapons he has at his disposal are ridiculous. The Colts offense will absolutely light it up this year.....at least when they are not facing the Pats.

Portis has a legit chance to reac 2k this year. I see 20 touchdowns and 5 yards a carry this year to.

You said a lock. A lock means there is no way he doesn't get that number barring injuries. The best QB of all time, Dan Marino was NEVER a lock for 40 TDs. Peyton isn't either. He is a lock for 30 TDs barring injury in my estimation. He "could" get 40 TDs, but probably won't...

After they showed that list, they showed the top 5 QBs NOT to draft. They were:
Big Ben
Trent Dilfer
Drew Bledsoe
Patrick Ramsey
Kyle Boller

Again I have to disagree with you. Manning will throw 40 TDs this year barring injury.
He would have thrown a lot more than 49 last year, but the team often held back at the end of games because the offense had done so much damage and they were ahead by so much.

Guess we will find out =P
Either way, I'm taking a top 5 RB in the first round if I can get one

Manning won my league for me almost by himself. He will put up so many points every week. There is also less chance of him getting hurt over one of the top RBs. If I get the chance to get him again I'm going to do it. You can pick up your RBs in the 2nd and 3rd. Manning is that much better then the rest of the QBs.

No way I would draft Ramsey either, but this is for Fantasy reasons, not actual football reasons.
I have a hard time drafting a QB in the 1st round. You can always get decent qb's in the 4th 5th rounds. People like Bulger and Palmer, etc will still be there. Even if Portis had a bad year this year, I would probably take Portis over Manning in the first round. Rb's are so valuable, its hard to pass a good one up.

Manning at #8 is a joke. 49 TD passes will blow any RBs performance out of the water. Most fantasy leagues give out the same points for a passing TD as for a rushing TD. And how many times did he score a rushing TD? I'll bet it was at least 5 with sneaks and bootlegs.
