1. (5) P. Holmes
2. (20) D. McNabb
3. (29) J. Horn
4. (44) T. Heap
5. (53) S. Jackson
6. (68) Washington (Defense)
7. (77) Ro. Williams
8. (92) P. Ramsey
9. (101) M. Vanderjagt
10. (116) C.

ey
11. (125) Minnesota (Defense)
12. (140) S. Moss
13. (149) T. Duckett
14. (164) M. Williams
15. (173) D. Jolley
16. (188) A. Rodgers
17. (197) C. Buckhalter
Have a trade in for C. Portis/J. Wiggens -- giving up Priest Holmes/T. Heap...have a bad feeling about both coming off injuries.
Also have put a waiver request in for B. Edwards. Was really suprised he wasn't picked up.

i'd be concerned about heap too. i've heard rumblings that he's still not 100%.

i like all your picks except buckhalter--he's going to be hurt for most of the season, he is being bothered by knee pain in the same knee he got his ACL torn...but then again he's a pretty late round backup, so it probably doesn't matter--great draft though

Not trying to be a jerk, but you seemed to have overvalued some of the Redskins (Ramsey's a terrible pick that early).
The first thing I would do if I were you is try to get a legitimate second running back. Jackson may have a decent year but I would hate to have to depend on someone so unproven without a plan B. You may also want to acquire Larry Johnson and keep Holmes. If Holmes can't carry the load, someone else (Johnson) is going to put up big numbers in that system.
And which M. Williams did you take at 14?

It's my first FF draft, and I just wasn't sure about some things. I was probably a bit of a homer on a few pics, but alot of the good players were taken at the oddest times. I've put Buckhalter on waivers...to pick up B. Edwards, as an outside shot. And the M. Williams is the Detroit newbie. At the 8 spot, the only other decent qb's left were Leftwich, Ramsey, Harrington, and one other I can't remember. Not much to choose from. Thanks for the feedback. I'll look for that other big back if someone drops someone. Maybe I'll have beginner's luck.

Just remember, in the end it's the RBs that win leagues. In most of my leagues I'll take RB for the first 3 rounds unless something stupid happens like Peyton Manning falls to the latter half of the first or Culpepper falls late into round two. People will always be willing to jump on ludicrus trades for your third RB when there's go down.
WRs are a dime a dozen but it does pay to get one of the big 5 fantasy TEs if you don't have to reach if you're in a league that requires them.
I wouldn't have picked two defenses either because you can always grab one off the waiver wire to cover your bye week. You might want to see if anyone would be willing to give you anything for Minny's D right now.

personally brother... I'd keep Holmes and Heap.... I'd try to trade for Larry Johnson if I were you... but even though Priest is coming off of an injury... he's going to be a top back if healthy... and Portis isn't always the heathest back every year...

dammit... I jinxed us...
but you look like you got a good team... and don't worry about curvy... Patty is a fine back up to McNabb... you will probably only use him once anyways... you got some decent WR.... I'd just drop Jolley, and Aaron Rodgers and pickup a couple scrub RB's who are dark horses....

I have a feeling that Farve won't last the whole season. Just a hunch. There wasn't a lot of talent left at pick 16, anyway.

What makes you think Favre wont last this season? It has certainly not been the case in the past. Even in round 16 I would have picked a starter

There wasn't a starter to be had in the 16th round. Farve DEFINATELY wasn't there. Just tried to pick up a few guys who may get time if someone goes down, or plays poorly. I was able to drop Buckhalter and pick up B. Edwards off waivers. That could come back to bite me, but we'll see.
As far as defenses...from what I understand, I have to start 2 defenses every week...so that's why I have Minnesota, too. I start 2 QB, 2 RB, 2WR & 1W/T, 1 TE, Kicker, and 2 Defenses. I'll get some clarity this week when I talk to the Comm. on Monday.

No starter is on waivers? Someone picked QBs way too high!

I take it that is not a keeper league? You got some great players on your team early! How many teams are in the draft?? Either it isn't too deep or you are a great strategist. Looks like a pretty good team, I don't like Ramsey that early either and also the Buckhalter pick, but other than that lookin good...

Here's my update:
Dropped Buckhalter and picked up Braylon Edwards...on a hunch
Traded P.Holmes and T.Heap for C.Portis and J.Wiggins
Dropped Aaron Rodgers and picked up M.Faulk -- which btw, I already have S.Jackson, so if he goes down, I'm still alright.
So, here's the updated line-up...
1. C. Portis
2. (20) D. McNabb
3. (29) J. Horn
4. (44) J. Wiggins
5. (53) S. Jackson
6. (6 Washington (Defense)
7. (77) Ro. Williams
8. (92) P. Ramsey
9. (101) M. Vanderjagt
10. (116) C.

ey
11. (125) Minnesota (Defense)
12. (140) S. Moss
13. (149) T. Duckett
14. (164) M. Williams
15. (173) D. Jolley
16. M. Faulk
17. B. Edwards
Not necessarily in that draft order, either. So, how's it look, now? Keep in mind...this is my first shot at this.

^^ Hmm, thats not half bad but you should really try to lay off on these real young recievers like Mike Williams, Braylon Edwards, and Roy Williams because the balls gonna be spread around quite a bit in Detroit this year. Other than that you're team's pretty good, although I advise you to start

ey over Wiggins and you definitely shouldn't have drafted the Washington Defense that early.

I'm not sure what was with our draft...but believe me when I say that defenses were tough to get and came early. There weren't too many left when I took Washington, and was lucky (<~~~~irony) to get Minnesota's D when I did.
I'm kinda taking a gamble with the Williams boys, but only one is a starter, anyway. Would be nice to see the trio have a year like the colts receiving core had. Makes for exciting football...whether it's our team or not.
Braylon was just bench fodder that could get hot near the end of the year...I'll play him by ear.
And in regards to

ey/Wiggins...I think I can start both. We'll see. If not, you know who I'll go with...
