Have Lost all Respect for Pierce

This quote just pissed me off, to think we are the reason he is where hs is, and he mouths off at us. I used to like him, now I hope Portis runs him over.

I know I'll be here from week to week, month to month. I know there'll be a coach at the end of the season," Pierce said, laughing at the thought of the Redskins' turmoil. "There's a lot more stability here - I'll just leave it at that."

Can you blame him? It's not as if the Skins haven't had horrible turnaround for Pierce's entire tenure here.

What we, the people who have stayed in DC, have to look forward to is the promise of continuity in our future. Pierce left, so he's not a part of that. But hey, as embarassing and painful as it is to hear, he's telling the truth (at least he didn't call the team losers because of our record).

Yes I can blame him. Had it not been for Barrow getting injured last year, Pierce would still be playing special teams for $200k per

Antonio Pierce: Epitome of System Linebacker...

I think this is gonna be a Jeremiah Trotter situation except we're not gonna want him back 'cause McCune's gonna be smashing heads in the pro bowl.

We are the reason he got that nice contract with the Giants. We will have to watch McCune become our future starting Middle Linebacker by next season.

LeMar Marshall will step in and do just as well as Pierce did.

Good....now I have no problem rooting against him this year. Not sure I would have anyway...but this helps.

way to be appreciative antonio, just wait till the whole league sees that you are nothing without the redskins, and the redskins are still the best without you...and yes, mccune will smash heads in the pro bowl :-)

You guys need to chill out. If you read the whole article there’s very little in it. It seems to be mostly the author’s opinion with a few Pierce quotes. It wouldn’t be the first time the media misrepresented someone.

What was in quotes was factual. He was here for the turbulent years. Marty, Superior and then Gibbs.

You might not pay attention to the actual games but I’ve seen games in person where Pierce started in place Lavar or came into the game due to injury to Lavar and he play very well.

I was impressed 2 years ago, he played when Lavar was hurt. I worried that Lavar was out for the game but he did a really good job. I remember thinking, that guy’s a player.

Until last year he was behind Lavar. He wasn’t better than Lavar but that doesn’t mean he wasn’t a really good player.

Last year the coaches realized they had a good player wasting away behind Lavar and put him on the starting squad at MLB.

I wish he were still with the skins. The Giants may have paid to much but everyone needs to grow up. It’s a business. There’s no reason to think he’s a bad guy.

I think it’s a mark of immaturity to look for reasons to hate on a guy just because he no longer plays for your team.

I wonder if some here have ever worked in the corporate world. Changing CEOs is traumatic to the employees. Changing the head coach and the whole coaching staff must be even worse. The CEO draws up plans to be executed over several years. When another CEO comes in there are new multi-year plans and old plans are discarded. If the CEO changes every year or every other year then the employees working on the long range plans are going to be in complete disarray.

Image you go to your boss and ask for a raise. He agrees and offers you a raise. Another more stable organization offers you a lot more money.

No one can convince me that the Redskins are a stable organization. I hope we are on the way to being a stable organization but just because we have the same coach as last year is not proof. For players to believe that we have a stable organization and set of coaches it’s going to take another year or two.

C'mon now guys, lets put the homerism aside. This team has been a joke for a very long time. Until Gibbs came back its been a freaking circus. Its been a coach carousel. When new coaches come in, they bring in people they want. Marty, Steve and Gibbs did that. Peirce didn't have any job security when we were bringing in people like Trotter who failed miserably in our schemes. I think for him to say this now is a bit cruddy because its no longer the case but for the majority of his Skin career it was a fact.
Mind you, Smoot, Chump and Peirce made the same complaints and they're accurate.

Is the writer's opinion. That's how a reporter changes the message.

Exactly, the Skins arent in turmoil. Taylor is back on board and Lavar has been given the okee doke. We're fine, we just have to improve our offense.

Uh, excuse me Antonio, the G-spots got all new coaches and QBs last year. That's continuity? We will now have stability for years to come. The G-strings coaching staff will be there 2 more years tops. Gibbs replacement (after his full 5 year contract) is already coaching here. You remember Greg Williams, don't you? He's the one who gave you your big break, and put you in the position to whore yourself out to the highest bidder.
