Besides the heat and humidity, it was a mild day at Redskins Park, home of training camp for the Washington Redskins. The heat was stifling Thursday, as several thousand people showed up to watch the fourth day of Washington Redskins training camp.
The highlight of the practices continues to be the 11-on-11 drills. The wide receivers have had many opportunities to make the crowd ooh and ahh, and today they did not disappoint.

There are a lot of good reports coming from our group of WRs. I'm glad that Patten has become an immediate target for Ramsey, that Antonio Brown is pushing his way towards playing on offensive packages, and that Taylor Jacobs is making a strong showing.
The article didn't even mention Moss, Thrash, or DMac, too. Things are looking better for our passing game this year.

I miss seeing you guys but I really really missing seeing the actual football that goes along with camp too. I feel like a junkie having withdrawls!

Thanks for keeping me us posted about things!

Yup, NC was there Monday through Wednesday.
Sorry to be contrary to the report but from my spot, I had never seen so many overthrown passes and dropped passes in a practice yet. Brunell and Ramsey overthrew their receivers quite often.
And sometimes when they did hit their targets, the targets missed. McCants, Patten, Jacobs, Thrash, and I believe Dyson missed passes. It was a sad display and very disappointing.
I wish I saw what JansenFan saw.

I was there for yesterdays afternoon practice, it was one of the hottest days this year. While driving on the Louden County Parkway ( the road into Redskins Park ), I looked at the themometer on my truck and it read 101 degrees. I do not know how those guys can practice with that kind of heat.
My thoughts of yesterdays practice were they seemed to be a little slugish, but that may be attributed to the heat. They seem to be tossing the long ball a lot more this year. On one long pass McCants made a nice catch on the sideline and then put his hands up so everyone would cheer. Moss always seemed to be behind the defense, toss the ball long and will be there. Campbell looked a lot better then I had expected, he threw tight crisp sprials and looked more fluid then the other three guys. I can't wait to see him in a game situation, we may of found the long term future Redskin QB.
I looked for anyone associated the THN, but did not see anyone. I plan on going to a few more practices next week, let me know where you guys are so I can stop by and introduce myself.

I guess it's all in what you are looking for. We have 4 new guys in the receiving corps that are taking the majority of the snaps, so at this point in camp, I don't expect them to be perfect, but compared to last year at this time, they are light years ahead.

I agree... while they have not been perfect, they have been better than at this same time last year at camp.
Ramsey looks like a different guy out there... very calm and collected. He himself has said that he's 'not having to think about it as much' out there and to me he just looks a lot more comfortable.
As for the receivers... Moss has made some good catches, so has Patten... both have also had some drops... but it's a little early in the fray to be judging them too much about anything.
I'll also add that some of the 'fringe' receivers have had really good camps as is often the case... Rich Parsons had a great week, and today, Jamin elliott made the best catch of TC so far with an acrobatic and one-handed catch.

Is anyone here going to be at the practice on Monday afternoon? I'm trying to decide if I should come up.

Not sure. I have a client coming in from Isreal and I have to baby sit them M-W, but I am hoping to at least catch half of it.
