Does anybody think that the offense and new personnel on offense will make a difference?

And yes, I think Musgrave will help Ramsey and eventually Campbell. The shotgun will help Ramsey out a ton and Campbell succeeded in the West Coast and I'm pretty sure Musgrave is putting in some West Coast ideas.

I also believe the new running system will allow Portis another 250-300 yards this season. And with better use of him (unlike that 6 carry game) he can back on track with 1500 yards and about 15 TD.

Eh, I like what Musgrave brings to the table but doesn't he have a somewhat checkered past with Jacksonville?

Musgrave does have a history here in Jacksonville.....

Funny thing is, he was blamed for running Brunell out of town.

The problem with the Jags was the Jags hired a WC offensive co-ordinator but wanted a wideopen passing game, and Fred Taylor puting up 1700 yard seasons. The fact that Leftwhich (and Brunell) aren't the most mobile QBs out there costed him problems. Brunell is/was accurate 20 yards and in but didn't like Musgrave, Leftwhich is a deep ball thrower.

In Washington Musgrave will bring additions to Joe's offensive scheme as oppose to bringing his scheme to Washington.

I think we'll see a lot of different looks this year with the addition of FBs, the shotgun and the outside speed. The biggest change will be Joe Gibbs has been back a year. He was learning on the fly last year, and at the end of the season we looked a lot better. By week 16 we were taking more shots downfield (though ey was the only one coming down with the ball). We had more zone blocking later in the season, and things started to click. We should expect progress from there.

keep in mind ramsey was in mostly shotgun
formation at tulane.i definitely think it will help

Ramsey will be too excited to be in the shotgun. He's been sitting on the DT laps for so many seasons, he'll feel like he's in another world having that extra room.

Hopefuly he'll take that time to make good decisions.

i read somewhere that ramsey was feeling really confident in the shotgun and that he looked good--probably during mini-camp? i dont know, but i like the point that he did play in the shotgun at Tulane...now if he only has a good offensive line to play behind, we won't see the pounding he took at tulane, just the great career

YES!!!!!You should see a different looking offense this season.The additions of Moss and Patten will bring speed to our passing game.One of the biggest problems that we faced last season was no real deep threat at W.R. The defenses would stack the line of scrimage and play for the run and short passes.Coles had good hands but no real break away speed because of his toe injury.Gardner 50/50 was just a disease to the team, even in the locker room.The Special teams play should be awesome this season ,mainly because of Moss,Brown and Thrash.Chris cooley should again be awesome this year.Coach gibbs and Musgrave will fine tune Ramsey and even maybe Brunell and Campell will be learning this year.Coach gibbs will get better with the play calling.Eleven years away from the game is a long time even for gibbs.The only real thing that might be a problem is injurys.Who can stay healthy?We need our core guys for the season.Go skins!!!

To answer your question, yes, I think we will see a vast improvement in the offense this season. I see us moving into the top ten on the offensive side of the ball.

I think its will make a huge difference. Musgrave will hopefully make ramsey make better decisions out there. See the way i see it, is that if Ramsey goes out and does everything perfectly were in the playoffs. We have a very good set of receivers, a great OLINE, and one of the best RBs in the league
