I have been calling cell phones all morning trying to reach my co workers for various reasons and I keep getting the all circuits are busy thing. Anyone else having these problems or is it me?? I heard a guy complaining yesterday about cell phone issues and I just assume this is what he was talking about.

I've had those problems all weekend and again this morning. It's starting to drive me nuts! Also, many times over the past few days when people call me it's gone straight into voicemail. Weird...

Which cellphone provider do your co-workers have? It may be limited to a certain cell phone company.

Cingular but after talking to people that's not the only one having issues. I know a few with Nextels who are having issues too. So who knows.

I've been fed up with Nextel for about 2 months now; more dropped calls and calls going directly to voicemail like you described. ;furious;
I just changed over to Verizon wireless 2 weeks ago. No problems lately. Hopefully it stays that way.

skins81, did you have to pay to get out of your contract with NEXTEL?

I have Verizon and I've had no troubles. Guess soon all the Nextel customers will be switched to Verizon.

I have Nextel - I've had no problems until the past week or so. It must have to do with the Sprint/Nextel merger and them messing with their different technologies. I pay $10 bucks a month for a $60 a month plan through a friend who works at Nextel so I can deal with a few dropped calls until they work the kinks out. I don't pay for anything extra either - it all gets taken care of :-)

Hey 1974 how about hooking a friend up?? That beats the hell out of my Verizon plan and I could deal with dropped calls for that too. lol

I can certainly check into it! He's my brother's friend so it might take some convincing.

(Disclaimer - if anyone here works at Nextel, you never saw this, lol)

My contract was already finished. They just ported the same phone number to the new phone using Verizon service, and presto, no more Nextel for me.
Actually, Nextel called me a few days later to see if they could do anything to lure me back. I said sure, get more cell phone towers.
