The Snyders' Tight Fit

Wednesday, July 13, 2005; Page A20

In the article on Washington Redskins owner Daniel Snyder and his wife, Tanya, selling their 8,000-square-foot home in Bethesda [Real Estate, June 18], Mrs. Snyder was quoted as saying, "We just simply outgrew it."

The article went on to list what the Snyder family has outgrown: the home's seven bedrooms, seven bathrooms, three half-baths, four fireplaces, formal dining room and living room, two-story family room, library, walk-out recreation room, music room, exercise room, and kitchen, which is equipped with two side-by-side Sub-Zero refrigerator/freezers, two dishwashers, a Viking stainless-steel professional range and a separate oven.

I sympathize; I am outgrowing my two-bedroom, one-bathroom condo.

HOw do you outgrow seven bedrooms, unless they have eight kids. I wish I were rich enough to outgrow large houses.

Greetings from NYC: Lets hope Dan does not decide that the Redskins have outgrowen Fed Ex stadium! We would be playing our home games in a 200,000 seating capacity stadium called MSN Field

 I'm thinking I would not use the EXCUSE that we've OUTGROWN IT - maybe he would be better off just saying...
"I want MORE". Please !

Yet another example of "having so much money you're bored."

Not if you had to clean it.

reason for failure

This epitomizes the reason for the Redskins failure under SNYDER thus far. He has a very low boredom threshhold.

He gets bored very easily and contantly seeks the newer, better, thing, or coach. He is never satisfied and must always make a change for the sake of change.

I hope that Gibbs can stay for several more years or Snyder may start dipping and playing again.

Absolutely... but really, what is wrong with that? It's his right. That's all I'm saying.

I knowingly stepped into that one. It was only a matter of time.....

Seriously though, in 8,000 sf, you can house a theatre room, indoor fauna (yes, fauna), and perhaps a small carribbean island. Who needs more?
