TO a Raider??

I read this online from a Philly newpaper site. Apparently, Philly is in discussions with Oakland for a TO for Jerry Porter trade. I'm not a Raider fan but I'd love to see the trade go through! Could you imagine Moss AND TO on the same team? I think ol' Norv would blow a gasket before the season's end!

If this happens, I think it may mark the downfall of TO's career.
Not too many receivers retain their success after they spend the beginning of their career with one team and begin team-hopping so much towards the end.
This would be a VERY interesting trade if it goes down.
Oakland is the perfect place to have a Moss/TO duo.
Whoever gets named the #2 starter will have a fit.

To be honest, I'd rather have TO remain an E-gal and screw with their team chemistry.

From the article:
Yesterday, Moss told reporters he could co-exist with T.O. as long as he got the number of passes he deserves.
I could see it happening right now.......TO scores two touchdowns in the first half and Moss gets pissed off about it then yells at his Quarterback. I would love to see this trade happen. It would be freakin hilarious!

I don't see anything else on this possible trade. Can the raiders take porter's cap hit and do they want Moss and Owens arguing one on each side of Kerry Collins? I think it's just a headline.

At that point Warren Sapp would come on the field to yell at Moss but TO starts yelling at Sapp.
They are all yelling Me,Me,Me & I this or I that

The running back will average 10 yards a carry. The league cant let this go down.

As in Lamont Jordan....he's gonna be a beast this year.
This trade would be insane. Could you imagine Champ having to pick his poison twice a season?
Kerry Collins is pissed huh?

No way, this could never work. I mean the trade might happen, but there is no chance of it beniefeting the Raiders.
Moss says he can deal with it if he gets his fair share of balls, well his fare share means more than TO. And if Moss got more balls than TO, TO would just hold out. If TO can't handle playing with Greg Lewis and Pinkston, how can he handle Moss?
It would be just like the Lakers, too many superstars on the same team. By the end of it, Kerry Collins would probably end up committing suicide.
I mean, I can see the trade going through and working for the Eagles, but it would destroy the Raiders offense.

This better not happen. We will have big problems when we face them.

But still, two elite wideouts on one team will cause any trouble to any defense.

You havea point, but hey I have 100% faith on our secondary, NO worries although you have a point. But I actually wish this trade would go down, not only would it be funny but i would be so much easier to beat the eagles, we wouldn't have to double cover TO which helps stop the run, and they have NO other wr's so we would be fine, unless their rookie emerges which I doubt

I want TO off the Eagles but if the Raiders had Owens and Moss their offense would be DYNAMITE

your right, but regardless our defense would stop them, and them having a weak defense would help us win the game, IMO the only teams that can beat us are the ones with good D's, because the rest have no way to stop our scoring for example the Giants D in the 2nd game last year, even if they had a good offense I doubt they would score 31 points on us, I doubt any team in the nfl would score 31 points on us

(July 1, 2005) -- A rumor that makes as much sense as Philip Rivers to the 49ers for the No. 1 overall pick has made its rounds on the Internet: Terrell Owens to the Raiders for Jerry Porter.
Due to salary-cap constraints -- suffocating ones -- the trade could not be completed, no way. Yet in journalism school, the first thing they taught me was, "If your mother tells you she loves you, check it out."
Well, I'm still trying to confirm that my mother loves me, but I have confirmed something else. This trade is positively not happening.
This is the conclusion drawn from an e-mail floated to an Oakland front-office man about the possibility of a trade going through and T.O. and Randy Moss playing together.
The Raiders' official e-mailed response: "It's absolutely (B.S.). Do not think twice about it. Keep grilling."
I'm guessing that this was some bored journalist who had nothing to talk about in the offseason, so he made up a reasonable trade scenario.
However, I would like to see it go through just so I could watch what happens in Oakland.

Skip Bayless came up with the idea months ago, and it's just now taking off. There's no basis for it, just the scorned lover still whining about the one that got away.

Eagles have TO.
TO is cancer.
What is wrong with that?

The grammar is good. It is the power of a syllogism in formal logic that bothers you.

I hate to say it, but the trade would be very "Redskins" of them. It's a great fantasy football combo, but in practice would eat up the Raiders' team chemistry.
On the other hand, if it worked, yikes! Collins can still throw and he'd have two major threats, plus Jordan in the backfield. That's painful to think about. I think our D could stop them only if we consistently got through their O-line to pressure Collins into throwing early, and interrupting the receiver's routes. Give them time and we'd be screwed.
I hope it happens... I'm morbidly curious!

The Faiders team chemistry is a non factor because their revoling door of FAs swings back and forth more than ours had in the past. So you can't effect something that's not there.
I think the trade would be great (though it will never happen). Collins would agree he has two deep threats but they would say "I'm the deep threat thay other guy only gets catches because I'm doubled".
Plus we don't play them every year and TO out of Philly would be great.
