What the hell is wrong with atheletes and their guns?
I don't make millions and I know to keep my gun at home and when and where to use it.

It's like they think guns are fashion accessories. God know they have ENOUGH money to hire a body gaurd(s).

The last thing I need is getting into a fender bender with a pissed off 6-5 athelete packing a glock with a mentality that they'll pay their lawyer to beat the rap if they decide to cap my ass.

Los Angeles Clippers power forward and former University of Maryland standout Chris Wilcox was arrested early Monday after police found a gun in his car during a traffic stop.

Wilcox, 22, was pulled over about 1 a.m. after a Howard County police officer saw his silver BMW weaving on southbound U.S. 29 in Columbia, according to a news release from county police.

A canine team in the area responded to assist and an officer asked Wilcox if there was anything inside the vehicle that would cause the dog to react. Wilcox said there was a gun inside, police said.

The officer found a .357-caliber revolver in a pocket behind the front passenger seat. The officer checked the weapon and found a spent casing inside. Live ammunition and two spent shell casings were also found inside the car.
Wilcox could not provide documentation that the gun belonged to him or that he had a permit to carry the weapon.

He was charged with transporting a handgun in a vehicle and was released on his own recognizance. A passenger was not charged.

The Clippers selected Wilcox, of Laurel, in the first round of the 2002 NBA Draft. He spent only two years as a Terrapin before being drafted eighth overall in the first round. A fan favorite at Cole Field House, Wilcox was signed to a three-year, $6.2 million contract with a fourth-year team option worth $2.8 million.
