Just heard it on Channel 9 WUSA.

Lavar was at a party when a guy was shot/critically injured.

Developing.....don't think its a big deal, just unwanted press.

Police are investigating a shooting at a party this weekend in Gambrills, Maryland. And there's word Redskins linebacker Lavar Arrington was there, but was not involved in the shooting and has not been charged in the incident.

9 Sports Director Brett Haber has been working on this exclusive story. Sources tell Haber that Redskins linebacker Lavar Arrington was hosting a party at the home where the shooting took place early Sunday morning.

Sources say a scuffle took place before the shooting. James Gordon Sydney was working as a security officer at the party and tried to break the scuffle up.

Sydney was shot in the back and taken to a hospital in Baltimore. As of Tuesday morning Sydney remained in the hospital in critical but stable condition and police have no one in custody.

Because of the incident, Redskins' linebacker Lavar Arrington skipped his own charity event he was co-hosting during the 5th Annual Charity Weekend.

Authorities have spoken with Arrington about the incident and they say he is not a suspect.

Lets not jump to conclusions just yet. You can't fault Lavar for being at a party (probably a nice area) when some dude whips out a gun.

I've been to a few parties that were going smooth until some douche bag pulled a gun. Sometimes the wrong type crash a party.

Granted, the WHOLE team should have been cautious considerring the spat of gun related incidents in the league this off-season.

These guy's are human, they're not allowed to go to parties?

If someone shoots someone at a supermarket, should Lavar not go there either?

For a team coached by Joe Gibbs, his players seem to be getting into an awful lot of trouble (or potential trouble).

Maybe y'all need a lockdown or something for your players. It could be worse, though. You could be Bucs fans, like me, where your team goes and signs every player who gets released by another team for being a criminal (Juran Bolden this year, for example).

You can avoid going to a party where trouble could start. You are an NFL star you dont need to be carousing with people who even have the potential of being dangerous. LaVar knows that the party he went to wasnt the best decision and im sure he'll be more careful from now on.

What happened to the rest of it.

Why do fans always go with the worst case scenario. Arrington probably had nothing to do with this other then being there. Just calm down.

arrington was doing a community benefit event this past week. HE was actually doing the right thing getting involved in helping the community out. Im not sure if this is the same event, but we should cut him some slack. He is a good person.

I would be very very surprised if LaVar had anything to do with this, other than just being a witness. He's smarter than that.

Couldnt Ade Jimoh or Clifton Smith be involved in one of these incidents? Why does it have to be Taylor and Arrington of all people???
