Wedding time

Taz's comments in the Summer thread got me thinking: "Oh crap! I've got a wedding to think about this Sunday!"

Well, not my wedding, but my older brother (2 years older than me) is getting married this Sunday(!). Like all the men in my family, he's a Redskin fan to the core, so I say cheers to Adam (my bro) and good luck with the new married life. -drinking

Who knows, I could be following his lead in a couple of years. (But seriously, probably not)

On to the question of the thread: Anyone else getting married this summer, or have a close family member who is? (I know that Gibbs' Hog is getting hitched pretty soon.)

Derrick Dockery is getting married, as we found out in the THN one-on-one interview this week.

But, seriously, my sister will be getting married at the end of July.

Congrats to all those getting married this summer!

Congrats man!

I've got just over 2 months to go...crunch time!

My fiance is in a wedding on Friday night, so we (she) have been very busy lately for that one. We have another wedding to go to towards the end of July in Philly ( :puke: ), and then ours is Sept. 4. We also have a cousin's wedding in February - in Chicago  brrrrrrrr

Gibbs' Hog: I'm pretty sure that it's spelled fiancee, unless your "fiance" is a man, in which case you had it right.

Good luck with that Chicago wedding. The midwest in winter is just brutal.

Just want to express my condolences. Just get used to "are you going to wear that" and "have you taken the trash out".

Seriously, good luck. I'm on 14 years and actually got married late in life.

dude. are you crazy? there are years that the football season starts early. and there are also times when september 4th falls on a sunday. with anniversaries coming every year, this can only mean that there might be a year or two that you'll have to miss a game to go out to dinner or something. *gasp!*

that's why you should ALWAYS plan your weddings (june for me) and kids' birthdays (february and august for me) around the season. that way you'll always avoid the uncomfortable questions like 'don't you love me/the kids/ your family more than football?!?', and you'll have to lie and say 'of course i do!'

Oh come on Joe not all women are like that. I bet your wife is very understanding when it comes to football season. Scott and I were married Sept 17th and the only time it creates a problem is if one of us has a ticket to the game and the other does not. ;-)

Sept. 14th for me. Luckily the wife passed the RAT (Redskins Apptitude Test) before we got married and the final part was "All Things Redskins Come First". I think I'll keep her.

Yes -BUT- ...

Can she sing word-by-word Hail to the Redskins?

Congratulations!

The only good things about marriage are the bachelor party and honeymoon then you are ball and chained for life.

Take my advice and have the best bachelor party you can (I've been to some of the naughtiest ever hehe ) then run as far from the wedding as you can.
