Two Guys I Really Want (If They're Cut)

Wendell Bryant and Calvin Pace. Both of those guys have plenty of ability, but have been under motivated, but both last year under Dennis Green showed a BIT of talent.

Calvin Pace can be the pass rusher we need at a cheaper price than Courtney Brown. Bryant can be a young DT next to Griffin and be in a rotation with Noble and Salave'a, who are starting down the other side of the hill.

Pace did a bit better last year when he was put in a pass rusher role than an every down DE. I think if Gregg improved his confidence, we'd have a football player. Bryant just need a foot up his butt to get him going.

My My 2 cents.

Pace is decent to look into.

Wendell Bryant is a classic underachiever.

If they get cut (i doubt both of them would).

It might be nice to pick one up.

Pace is a good idea, I'd look into him

Bryant is a big pass.

both of these guys look like they could get their potential unlocked with our coaching staff. Might be worthwhile to pick them up, with money and spots permitting.

No way would I want Bryant. He held out a long time before he signed with the Cards and he has done squat for a former first round pick.

Pace would be an interesting option. I would like to see us sign him. It won't kill me if we don't, though.

I think Bryant could be good if Gregg stuck a shoe up his butt.

Wouldn't he look kind of weird rushing the passser with sneakers stuck up there?

Both Cardinals lines were soooo lazy every year prior to last year. But now they have Berry and Okeafor, thats a powerful pass rush.

The thing that kept the Cardinals from winning all these years is being cheap. So it proves you can lose by being cheap too. Every coach they got couldn't evaluate talent, and just picked up "the best" option. Sure it saved money, but come on. Your team only won one playoff game in 52 years!!! Thats almost its whole history! AND they had Pat Fischer. *sigh*

But the Cardinals are looking up. I look forward to our matchup this year.

Smithian - I'm betting this marks the first time you've ever used the phrase "two guys I really want."

For some reason, I think Pace could REALLY help us. No idea why, but I do.

I think Pace could help, but would only want him if he came cheap, I would pass on Bryant even if he wanted to play for the skins for free

I'd take a chance on either one of these guys. If we could only have one my obvious preference would be Pace because of our need of a pass rusher from the DE position. But if Blache/Williams can take people like Joe Salavea and Brandon Noble and make them play as good as they did I'd like to see him work with a far superior athlete in Bryant.
