I just bought a Compaq Persario r4000 notebook, and i have 2 slots and Express card slot and a PCI card slot.
Now i know a lot of things about computers, but what in the world is a express card slot, and is there anyway i can make it another PCI slot.

According to Compaq's website, your laptop has the following slots:
1 Type I/II PC card slot; CardBus-enabled
4 Universal Serial Bus (USB 2.0)
1 RJ-11 (modem)
1 RJ -45 (LAN)
1 headphone-out
1 microphone-in
I did not see any mention of an "express" slot. However, your video card is going to be one of these two:
32MB ATI RADEON(R)
XPRESS 200M
128MB ATI RADEON(R)
XPRESS 200M w/Hypermemory(TM)
I think you may be confusing "xpress" with "express". Maybe not. Regardless, I personally would return your Compaq and get a Dell Latitude.

Express Card slot? That's for buying skimpy black clothes at the Mall for your wife on credit.
Sorry, couldn't resist.
