He has decided he doesn't want to play football anymore.
This is the feeling I had when we signed him. Something didn't seem right. I think he was close to retiring before visiting Dallas and re-signing with Atlanta.
I think it is very respectable for him to do this now rather than carry on any longer. I wish him the best with whatever he chooses to do with his life.

1.5 bajillion dollars. The Skins are over the cap now and will have to release Arrington to get back under.

Zero signing bonus. No cap ramifications.

No.

I read that Hall really wanted to coach football at Washington State University instead of playing football. I figured the coaching staff interviewed him well enough to figure out what he wanted to do. Oh well, I read an earlier post that said no bonus and zero cap ramifications. No biggie I guess. With Hall, I think we had six safeties on the team. Maybe we'll get McQuarters now.

He's coming back for training camp.
Cory Hall didn't "blow" he was an average player.

I bet you haven't even seen the guy play. You probably never heard of him since we before he signed here.
Short Stay: Redskins Cut DB Hall

Recently signed defensive back Cory Hall has decided to leave the Redskins and the team has subsequently released the six-year veteran.
Hall had signed with the Redskins on Tuesday and worked with the defense during an OTA session on Wednesday. He played for the Atlanta Falcons last season and had considered retiring from the NFL before signing with the Redskins.
The Redskins still have five safeties on the roster: Sean Taylor, Matt Bowen, Andre Lott, Ryan Clark and recently signed Pierson Prioleau.
Hall, 6-0 and 213 pounds, played for the Falcons and Cincinnati Bengals in his six-year NFL career. He played in 87 games with 70 starts and compiled 352 tackles (232 solo), four interceptions and one forced fumble.
Hall played in 14 games (starting 13) in 2004 with Atlanta, compiling 60 tackles (40 solo). In addition, Hall started both playoff games, including the 2004 NFC Championship game in which he posted two tackles.
Hall began his NFL career as a third round (65th overall) draft choice by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 1999 NFL Draft. He played his collegiate ball at Fresno State.
With the release of Hall, the Redskins now have a vacant roster spot.
So much for trying to light a fire under Shawn Taylor by signing Cory Hall if he didn't want to be here he should have never came in the first place but anyway I think that our success this season on offense will come down to our youmg WR's stepping up to the plate and being the becoming impact type players I'm talking about McCants and Jacobs both have alot of potential especially McCants I just remember that year he had with the OL'Ball Caoch at the helm.Hopefully Gibbs will tweak the playcalling some with more downfield passing instead of those WR screens and hook routes that almost killed Coles last season no wonder he wanted to leave after the beating he took in alot of games this past season. I'm not worried about the defense Greg Willaims will have them ready plus we have enough depth and some players that really want to prove themselves like Demetric Evans.
Can't Wait for Madden 2006 I hear the skins offense will be rated higher than the Cowgirls

I'll be 100% honest. I had never heard of the guy before, but i dont follow the falcons. I know some of their offensive players and one or two defensive players but thats it.

There is a thread on the Skins and Madden. The topic of this thread is Cory Hall.
Back on topic ....
I'm wondering if this weeks OTAs made Cory realize it was time to hang it up
