they both have the athletic abilty, people said mcnabb still needed to work on this passing skills i think campbell is about the same place where mcnabb was when he first came in to the nfl.

McNabb was a little more established before he was drafted. I personally like the pick, but Campbell has alot to prove.

Get ready for the Patrick Ramsey junta to come after you for daring to say this. Remember: Ramsey can part the Chesapeake and walk on water. His stats are the same as Peyton Manning (except for the win total). He is the uncrowned Joe Montana.
But, more importantly, I watched a lot of Campbell's games and he can manage a game supberbly and distributes the ball to different receivers. I do hope we get a chance this upcoming season to see what he can do.

That's just stupid. If he can part the Chessie why would he even need to walk on water?

He may look like McNabb but hopefully he'll play like McNabb.

When the "best" compliment that anybody can think of about Campbell is to compare him withan Eagle QB, well...
... it makes me wonder if that was a "compliment" at all in the first place.

Campbell has had one mini camp and that wasn't even with the entire squad. He threw mainly against rookies, with many of them being undrafted....let the guy learn and practice alittle more before we start comparing him to a Pro Bowl QB....

Personally, I'd prefer that he doesn't turn out like McNabb - a great athlete w/ bad passing accuracy who chokes in the biggest games of his life.

Cambell can easily develop into mcnabb. BUT WITH TIME. we cant rush him into anything. He has to master the plays and offense. Then he has to get a couple of plays during his first year, and learn some more... maybe in 2 years brunell retires he becomes back up and gets mroe shots.. Eventrually he will be the next mcnabb

i'm new to the site, so it'll probably ruffle some feathers when i say this--the patrick ramsey era in DC is most likely done.
first of all, the guy got a raw deal, but it seems clear that coach gibbs doesn't think he's got what it takes. otherwise, you don't bring in a veteran qb when you've got a kid whose been in the league a few years, and you don't draft a rookie right before ramsey is penciled in to be the starter.
but, let's imagine that ramsey defies gibbs' expectations and has a great year...isn't his contract up? how much money do you think he'll want as a young, and recently proven qb? and of course, he'll get an offer from another team. we could franchise him, but we're in a rough cap spot as it is next year, so i don't think we can afford to do that, since it is the average of the top 5 players at that position (think peyton's huge deal, vick's huge deal, etc)
on the other hand, if he's not that good and doesn't show it, than the skins aren't going to resign him as as a starter...gibbs might not like to play young qbs, but he also doesn't use shotgun, and look at that...
in any case, the facts just don't suggest that ramsey will be a skin, or at least as a starter, after this year...
