Batman, again welcome to the site. I think you need to chill a little on all the 'new' thread posts. I think the purpose of starting a new thread is to present some sort of information or question, which is meant to elicit some sort of response. While I share your enthusiasm for our beloved skins, some of these posts do not present any information from which I can react. Glad to have you on board; I just think you should keep the new-thread-posts limited to something of value (or complete nonsense, which also happens often here) :D

OK I CANT HELP MY SELF I AM A SUPER FAN

Our offense has no legitimate "stars" other than Portis if you really look at it closely. Hopefully the receivers can have a blow-up year.

Our offense has no shinning stars but it has alot of moons. WE have solid players such as Moss, Patten , Portis, Cooley and our updated O-line. Ramsey is gonna shine brighter than ever this season, those guys that wanna start cambell with a complex system right now, should think again. He wont have time to grow intot he playbook and he will become like Ramsey, and then you guys wont give him an opportunity. Im giving Ramsey an opportunity this season, i think hes gonna take us to the promised land.

No way batman. While I can agree that I too feel that Campbell is a future star... Our boy Ramsey has plenty of talent and potential to rock the NFL in 05. I must repeat myself and say that the last 5 games of 04 showed me that he is becoming more comfortable in the pocket and can connect to our TE's and WR's just as good as any other QB in the league!

GO SKINS!

Hey, Bats. Ramsey-led Skins scoring average was over 20 points a game last four games of the season. That kind of scoring, projected out for the whole season, would have put Skins at 12 and 4 and in the playoffs.

Think before you speak.

batman, your opinions about ramsey are severely tainted, based on skewed situations. you constantly refer to the giants game in which he threw 3 interceptions. yet you don't seem to have processed the fact that he had not taken ANY reps in practice to be prepared for the start, and was then thrust into the game in the 3rd quarter, down by 2 touchdowns. the giants scored 20 points in the 2nd quarter and it looked like they were starting to run away with the game unless we put up some points fast. so yes, he tried to force too many things. but he had no practice and HAD to take some chances if we were going to come from behind.

i will remind you of the actual facts, the statistics- WHEN HE STARTS, RAMSEY HAS THROWN ABOUT 32% MORE TDs (22) THAN INTERCEPTIONS (15) over 2003-2004. so this junk about him being an interception machine is complete nonsense, professed only by the ignorant.

let's compare the 2 games vs the giants in 2004. in the 1st, as stated, ramsey was put in halfway through with no practice to bring the team back from 2 TDs behind. in the 2nd, he had a full week of practice as the starter (plus a few games beforehand, which he did not have before the 1st one).

1st GIANTS GAME:
18 attempts/9 completions
142 yards
1 TD
3 INT
QB rating: 55.6

2nd GIANTS GAME:
22 attempts/19 completions
174 yards
3 TDs
0 INTs
QB rating: 139.2

since i have summarily destroyed your "argument", please come up with some new [actual] reasons why you are against ramsey. otherwise you are just wasting everyone's time by spewing this uninformed garbage. thanks.

^ Thanks for posting some hardcore facts, I said the same exact thing you did but didn't get the stats.

Its just another lame argument just like everyone crying over that one fumble that A. Brown had. Then they go and complain about the front office. Well for once those losers have seemed to drafted some talent and are letting them play. He's young he's going to mess up, give him time to grow. If you dont want to deal with growing pains then get all veterans, but that didn't work out to well for us did it?

People just grab onto one thing and beat it to death.

amen. i admit though that i've been one of the people that brings up the a. brown fumble... if it had been against any other team i'm sure i'd've forgotten it by now... but as you can tell, i utterly despise the cowboys so i'm going to take it really hard when someone makes a terrible mistake against them... i acknowledge though that i'm a bit unfair when it comes to such matters.

You have every right to be upset at him but Im just trying to be upbeat in this offseason filled with naysayers and whiners. Im not doing it simply to argue but because for once we show promise. Ramsey made some mistakes but I can honestly say that this is the 1st time he's really shown a lot of progression.

Heck this is the 1st time the team has shown forward progress. Our record doesn't reflect how much momentum we have this offseason.

-Ramsey did not practice with the 1st string WR's.
-Ramsey is right handed, Brunell is a lefty like myself.
-He came in off the bench in a game where we were drastically behind to try to save us. And he gave it his all. He almost got us back. I dont know if some of you thought we had Marino on the bench or what but I'm glad to see Ramsey get the nod this time. Its either put up or shut up.

Got any more Ramsey-excuses? How about the bottom line: his total win/loss record. Or the fact he can't throw a deep ball to save his life. (Though I am pretty sure you will try to blame that on some other insignificant factor). All this Ramsey loving makes me sick. He'll get his chance but you people that live and die Ramsey are going to be severely disappointed I'd be willing to bet.

I don't know too many people that "...live and die Ramsey." I think what most people are trying to say is that the guy can be productive, so long as he is given control - something he has not been granted ever since he was signed by the Skins.

I agree domin8, the W/L record is the only thing that truly counts; but I think we can all make valid arguments that Ramsey has the potential to do good things with this team. Whether he can put it together or not, over an entire season, remains to be seen. However, we can be supportive, and Ramsey has shown us indications that he can be a good quarterback. Hopefully, that will be the case this year.

I'm pulling for Ramsey to have a breakout year, but it seems to me that we are all hanging on to the hope that he could live up to the history behind his jersey number, which, up 'til now, he has not.

As for the offense having no heart, you are truly mistaken Batman. TRULY MISTAKEN!!!! Last year's team, both on offense and defense, showed more heart than we had seen in a long time. They kept fighting, despite the ineptitude, at times, of the offense and the mistakes, though few, of the defense.

Some might question the team's talent this year, but one thing that won't be an issue is the team's heart. The guys will bleed burgundy and gold. My 2 cents

You people? Until you get to know me, refrain from using such generalizations. All of what I said were valid reasons to explain his poor performance for that one game. I believe he did well last season once he got the nod.

Im glad this Ramsey loving is making you sick, so I'll continue on. Im glad Ramsey is our man this season because it'll give us a clear cut view of our QB situation. It'll allow us to progress Jason slowly and not throw him to the wolves so people who like to complain won't have anything to complain about.
