Episode III

Yes... I'm a nerd! I went to see it last night. I thought it wrapped everything up nicely. It did a good job of explaning how this happened and why this person looks the way they did in the last three episodes. If you're a Star Wars fan at all, you'll probably like it. As far as a quality factor I'd say it was a little better than Episode II. Check it out.

I just got back from it, my boss took us for work. It was definitely the best of the prequels. Definitely worth seeing on the big screen -- I mean, that's what movies like this are all about, right?

Well, I am a fan, but spending $323.00 [exageration] on a movie ticket is a little out of my league. That's why I got the big screen at home :D I can wait a few months for it to come out on DVD - and I hate sitting in movie theatres, unless it's on a monday night, when I can actually get a seat. That way, I don't wake up the next morning with "the kink"

I got free tickets since an uncle of a friend had free tickets because he won some contest. The movie is way better than Episodes I and II. They explained alot and it made sense.

Saw the movie tonight and wasn't very happy. Like the first two, the acting in Episode 3 was really wooden and forced. Too much canned dialogue, bad writing, corny bits, etc. The story was good, but the execution sucked. I could go on, but I'll just leave it with this... blah.

**Possible Spoiler, just in case***

Did anybody think "Frankenstein" at the end? Did Vader's "Noooooooooo!" not only remind you of crappy black and white B movies, but of Episode 1 Anakin's "Whoopieeee!"

FrankenVader completely ruined Vader for me. Even after all of his whining I was ready to love the badass again after his fight scene. Then they go and pull that crap on me.

Are you trying to say the acting in the original three wasn't wooden? That's, like, part of the genre of the cheesy sci-fi space opera.

Cheesy dialogue has it's place. In the original three movies, it was innocent and endearing. In the latest three, it was a product of crappy writing/acting/whatever you want to call it. It blended in well in the first three, but was bad enough in this movie to take you "out of the movie" and back to reality thinking "did he just say that? Who writes that crap?" That's the difference IMHO.

Perhaps it's not the dialogue [that has changed], but rather your perception thereof?

[Edited for clarity.]

I thought Episode III ruled. I know I'm not that much of a critic when it comes to movies, but I didn't think the acting was that bad. Especially R2D2......he was funny as hell in this one! The fight scenes in the movie were just outstanding. I could go on and on, but I don't want to spoil it for those that haven't seen it yet.

This is by far the best out of the prequels.

I my girl took me to go see the movie. I was surrounded by children. One was kicking my seat and eating candy in a loud wrapper. Then there was this 10 year old girl to the left of us who was bubbly to the extreme. Everytime one of those God forsaken robots squealed so did she. If you saw the movie then you know that was a lot. After giving them the eye a few times the chilled out.

I wanted the acting to be so much more. I wanted more dialogue when Obi was screaming at little Vader saying he was supposed to be the choosen one. I wanted more pain, more anguish, I wanted to feel the impact of this. They could have cut out all the fancy ship fighting, I wish I coulf have fast forwarded through it because it wasn't all that impressive.

I knew it couldn't happen but I wanted Mace to kill the Sith Lord!! I was rooting for him. He beat him, he was a true Jedi Master. Anakin ruined it all for us! lol. He's such a little chump.

We didn't get enough Yoda action.

The Jedis are a bunch of wimps, they went out like chumps and didn't put up a good fight. They made it seem like there were only 4 Jedi in the entire galaxy, lol.

More thoughts on tommorow....

When I heard from critics and some friends that the movie was good, I didn't believe them. Or, that is to say, I didn't want to live in the universe where George Lucas can write / direct a film staring Christian Haydenson and it turns out good.

That being said, I thought the movie wasn't terrible. Just the dialogue, attempts at love scenes, and portrayal of Darth Vader post-machine operation (why did they screw that up?!)

Good points: Lucas did a clever job of tying together a lot of the loose ends (like explaining how nearly all Jedi were extinct by the start of episode 4). In my opinion, Yoda was a lot better in this movie than the previous two (less grave and serious, had some funny moments). Anakin wasn't quite as awful in portraying his emotions--though this was still a major weakness int he film. Also, the scene with Anakin going into the Jedi temple and meeting the children was pretty sweet.

Now, it's tough to explain how R2D2 goes from being a droid-destroying beast of episode 3 to the helpless rover of episode 4, what happened to all those war-making droids after they shut them down, and a lot of other things.

Not a horrible movie overall. Definitely better than the first 2, though none of the prequels compares to the original 3 films.

The worst scene was after the Sith Lord to Vader that so and so was died because of him.

That was the worst acting ever...

If you've seen haydenson in any other movies, you'd know he is a pretty good actor. Just remember, pretty much everyone in all Lucas films looks like a bad actor delivering such schmatzy lines.

I thought this was the best of the new Star Wars.
My only problem with the movie was that I thought they
wrapped it up to quickly. It was like the movie was great,
then they had to explain all the loose ends in about 15 min.
