I just noticed that a yearbook of the 92 Redskins is on at 9:30 (Central Time). My favorite team EVER. Go Rypien!!! In my opinion the best team to ever play.

Sadly, I missed it, but wasn't 1992 the year we lost in the playoffs? Wasn't a bad year, but no 1991.

Oh Man! So many details that get hazey with time. That story of the game vs Dallas, Aikman fumbles Skins recover in the endzone for the win.
I am getting a Charels Mann jersey. I wore #71 in High School so it will be twice as good for me.
Compare the type of players on the 91/92 team to v.2005/06
Rypien - Ramsey - similar type players. Statues with good arms. QBs main job run the offense, make the big play when it's there. Don't turn the ball over.
Byner - Portis - Solid RB able to break open or grind it out.
RBs - Main job set the tempo for the Offense.
Clark - Patten - A solid winner.
Sanders - Moss - quick & explosive.
Monk - McCants - Short yardage & redzone target.
WRs - Main job Get open and catch the ball. Run block.
Marshall - Arrington & Washington - Big playmaker..
Green - Springs - Cover CB with solid run support.
Edwards - Bowen - DB playcaller.
Mann - Griffin - Solid vs. run or pass.
Before you get fired up,
Comparing player talent level at each position for entertainment purposes only.
Oh yeah how could leave out
Gibbs - Gibbs - Hall of Fame.
Coach - Main job. Win the Superbowl.

I watched it last night and loved every second of it. Now I remember why I love the Skins so much. We have had some tough times lately I can not wait until we are back to the good times again. After watching the show you can start to see how Joe Gibbs is trying to build this team.

I watched it too yesterday, it was great, it brought back good memories...we actually beat the Cowboys..it's been so long since I have seen that happen...I hope our #11 now(Ramsey), will take us to the glory the old #11 did(Rypien)

I didn't see the "yearbook" but remember that team. Maybe just as good as '91, because they had so many injuries.
Just an example: Mark Sclereth, their young pro-bowl Hog, broke a bone in his leg, but played out the season.
The team would have/should have beaten the '49's in the playoffs. They had beaten SF's heart and guts out, and were driving, about the SF 20, pounding up the middle, when the wet ball slipped as Rypien handed off to Brian M., who had a big hole ahead.
Would have been Redskins / Cowboys in the NFC Championship.
*
The season when Joe Gibbs finally collapsed physically as he held the team together. The season when he had migraines and insomnia for the last three or four months.
*
They didn't win the SB, but they were still great.
