Wow, that was a pointless thread. Kinda random, don't you think?

Hate to say it, but we have a bit too much blind faith in Joe.

Post 1100 for me.

Gibbs is doing his thing. This is the happiest I've been in my entire life as a Redskins fan. For once we have a sense of direction, pride, and accomplishment.

Hail to the Redskins!

I agree with you to an extent. But i dont see the accomplishment in loosing Smoot, Pierce, and Coles. Personally i think coles has a better chance of playing with his toe, than Moss with his injuiry plagued career.

But otherwise we have accomplished alot of stuff.

Yep.

Let's help him though. How about:

I believe that the BEST rendition of Hail to the Redskins with friends is the bluegrass version put together by the group Seldom Scene.

Of course, my favourite interpretation is played by our band in the stadium after a touchdown.

Do you all know the song? Do not ever let us catch you flat footed not knowing the song!!!

My opinion is this....

Gibbs didn't take this team over with a clean slate. This team was in the red when he took over and that is an understatement. He CAN'T fix everything in one year. Do you honestly think he would have let them go if we had the money? Our backs are against the wall in regards to the cap and our coaches made decisions that they felt we're good for the long haul.

Smoot wasn't all the hot of a DB imo anyway. He was above average at best and I dont see him improving that much.
Peirce was a heck of a delight and I really enjoyed him. His test will be to see if he's a product of this sytem or the real deal. Im not too sure about which it is.
Coles? Why is this an issue? Why would you want a player here that doesn't want to be here? Coles isn't the WR we signed a few years back, physically. Moss isn't Rice, Moss, or Owens but he halfway wants to be here and is injury free for the moment.

We're doing great!

And yes thats true gibbs needs to rebuild this team, and he didnt get the team on a good note either. Ok fine you win iwas wrong because i wouldnt want coles stayin if he doesnt wanna stay, and Smoot left us for 1 mil. extra, and pierce is a just a im not gonna say it... We build him and he leaves.

Blind faith comes in the form of knowledge. If you have no knowledge, then blind faith is your only hope. I have knowledge on Joe Gibbs, and blind faith is excluded in my statement, i Trust Him.
My faith comes from knowledge in his first stint as head coach. He demonstrated his abilities, faith, hard work, knowledge, and love for the Redskins.

What I like about Gibbs' return is that he has a plan, not a "fly by night" approach. I still think it will be 2 more years before he will be able to truly contend.....Just my M.O.

To have faith is to ignore reason and evidence.

That actually is the type of thread a fan needs to post sometimes.... I totally agree with you.. Im happy he's back too... For once not thinking about the off season moves, our record or anything else... it's just the love of the SKINS and happy he's back... sometimes a fan just needs to say something like that.... dont be suprised if I start a thread in june saying "THE REDSKINS MEAN SO MUCH TO ME"... like I said, a fan needs to get it out sometimes, as wierd as it sounds...

Some of us that actually think Gibbs can be successful with the skins again, and the faith that we have is not blind - it is predicated upon past experiences, physical evidence, and trust in our coach to be a good leader (which he has proven - past and present). I think we can all be supportive of the coach. Will he win? Who knows! That's the game, the business, the market. It's life. But I will never resort to Iggles tactics and boo my own team.

Gibbs is a throwback coach......last of a dying breed unfortunately. He seems to have all his bases covered and it is only a matter of time before the Skins start to dominate once again.

Gibbs is doing everything he can think of to improve our team. However we still need a GM and a better approach to the draft.
