FANTASY FOOTBALL

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

FANTASY FOOTBALL

Post by Punu »

As you all know Fantasy Football is just around the corner. At least for the hardocre fantasy player, research, magazines and talking trash to friends about who your thinking about drafting is a month, month and a half away.

Which rookies do you think will have the best fantasy value? Especially RB's...

And who are the returning sleepers?

I say Cadillac Williams is gonna be the best back, Vincent Jackson  will be the best WR (long shot)
&
The sleeper for me will be Nate Burleson, Lamont Jordan & Patrick Ramsey :!:

(Not last year, but the year before, Ramseys first 5 games he started, he was throwing for the most yards, I know he can do it again. I remember cuz everyone was try'n to trade me for him)

Yo, Punu!

I never played Fantasy Football, and I am a little intimated about joining a league at this point.

Any chance you can give a little Fantasy Football 101 tips/rules/guides for bnovices like yours truly.

Please indoctrinate me...

..so I can talk junk to you later about your weak draft class.
Back and better than ever!

awsome...Let me tell you, I gave fantasy football a chance 3 years ago after my brother told me how fun it was... IT IS THAT FUN! esp when you play with friends... if we can get some of us hogs in one league, you'll have the time of your life.

In our yahoo acct. say for example we play "head to head"
each team has 2 QB's. 4 WRs. 3 RB's. 2 TE's. 1 Kicker. 1 Defense.

So say My team was going against yours in Week one. My QB's are Ramsey and Favre yours... Payton Manning and Aaron Brooks.
Each positon accumulates points by producing (every 6 passing yards 1 point, rushing TD 10 points, passing TD 7points, reception 1 point, interception -2 points etc....) So for my QB's...

Ramsey scored 47 and Favre score 61
Payton score 85 and Brooks 43.... but its not head to head by position, its a team to team thing... so if you QB's kicked butt, you better hope the rest of your team holds up. Usually in my league the score comes out to 311.24 to 250.00 for example. Last year the sleeper defense was our very own WASHINGTON REDSKINS. They got picked up late in our fantasy draft. (theres also automatic draft).

I ended up picking up donald driver 3 weeks into the season and man was that a good one. you have to pay attention to injuries and keep your RB's solid to win. They score a lot!
But I hope you got the idea. When your playing with friends, between the trash talking and the pick ups and drops during the season, it gets so fun... because 5 weeeks in, you need to make your your gonna make the playoffs! Hey we put in money for each team, you win in the top 3... you get paid!

I have so much more to say, but that should get you an idea... my first round pick last year was great! I had the 8th over all, I took Edge... He ended up better than the 2nd pick. Oh well, glad you inquired, we'll get a league formed you feel like play'n bro...

ps-dont be intimidated.. your a SKINS fan... were always in the top 3.. were just so knowledgeable...(seriously we are)
:D
