Has anyone heard any new news on how the Rookie Camp went? Who looked good? How did our rookie QB and DB look? Were there any surprises? I read the one WP article but I have not seen anything else.

check the articles and video.

GW said that Rogers really was impressive. He also said that Campbell completed more deep passes in one practice against DB's than did anyone all year last year. He said the coaches had a 15 minute conversation about how live his arm is after practice on Saturday.

It's been all over our message board for the past 4 days.

Dam I dont know whether to hate it or love it? :hmm:
But if I was Ramsey that would be down right offensive. I have to love it though. The future should be bright regardless. I know those clips showed Campbell tossing deep passes with ease.

Everything I read is very vague. No names of these so called diamonds-in-the-rough. No real critque of players, just normal spin.

Yes, those are the guys we've signed. There's an article at Redskins.com now too:

Decisions Are In: Redskins to Sign Six
May 2, 2005
By By Gary Fitzgerald

More than 50 Redskin hopefuls came to Rookie Camp last weekend as certifiable long-shots. By Monday, six of them had completed the first step of their NFL dream.

Following the three-day Rookie Camp, the Redskins agreed to terms with six undrafted free agents on Monday.

Jon Alston, OL, South Carolina
Adrian Gonzalez, OL, Louisiana Tech
Pedro Holiday, WR, Middle Tennessee State
Charles Howard, DE, Florida State
Zak Keasey, LB, Princeton
Dominique Richardson, OL, Howard

Of that group, Keasey could be the most intriguing since he's coming out of the Ivy League. The 6-1, 230 pounder logged 127 tackles last year for Princeton, earning him second-team All American honors. His final collegiate game featured a career-best 22 tackles.

Howard is a 6-3, 265-pound defensive lineman who has experience playing both end and tackle. Last season, he recorded 17 tackles and five sacks for the Seminoles.

Holiday is a 6-1, 182-pound speedster who starred at track and field at Middle Tennessee State. As a reserve wide receiver last season, Holiday logged 16 catches for 176 yards and one touchdown last season.

The three offensive linemen signed to the roster are all sizable athletes. Alston is 6-5 and 306 pounds, Gonzalez is 6-5 and 328 pounds and Richardson is 6-4 and 301 pounds.

To make room for the six newcomers, the Redskins released the following players on Monday: defensive back Ray Custis, offensive linemen Dan Goodspeed, Brett Hodge and Scott Paffrath, wide receiver Tiger Jones and linebacker Devin Lemons.

Nice to see a DE and a big(ger) WR get offers. Keasey is a middle linebacker. If anyone is smart enough to play MLB in the G Williams defensive scheme it better be him with his Ivy League education. :)

Some of the recent players signed by the Skins have such spectacularly bad records as college players, there must be some untold stories behind their careers. For instance, why did Pedro Holiday catch only about 17 passes last year? Why did the DE make only about that many stops. How did these guys even get invited to camp, much less signed. What's the buzz?

Well Holiday is obviously very fast, maybe a possible return man or something?

He was one of the least productive receivers on his college team. Was he injured?

I looked at the greg willams clip on redskins.com and I trust his opinion. Greg has watched alot of players over the years. My mouth about hit the floor when he started talking about the arm that campell has and the deep bomb he can throw.I still like ramsey and campell still has to prove how he can handle the blitz pressure of the nfl.Im so confused.I would love to see what the rook has got, but yet i want to see ramsey do good.I think that if ramsey starts to flutter, that gibbs will suprise everyone and put campell in before brunell.I have never been so ready for a nfl season to get started,to see what will happen.
