Maybe Winslow's name will be added to the list already consisting of Bubby Hurley, Jason Williams and Derek Thomas...among others I'm sure. The Taylor choice looks better and better every day huh?

Sounds like it may be serious if they are saying the injuries are "not life-threatening"...I thought the report would say he had some scrapes and bruises...

Can we officially put to rest any future Taylor vs. Winslow threads? They seem to pop up every two months.
Thanks

I hope he heals OK but the dude is equally or more of a head case than Taylor.
Thanks

WESTLAKE, Ohio -- Browns tight end Kellen Winslow Jr. was injured in a motorcycle accident, but the team said his injuries aren't life-threatening.
Winslow was riding in a community college parking lot Sunday when he hit a curb at about 35 mph and was thrown from the motorcycle, police Lt. Ray Arcuri said.
He was taken by ambulance to Fairview Hospital and was scheduled to be transferred to the Cleveland Clinic on Monday where the team's medical staff would treat him, Browns spokesman Bill Bonsiewicz said.
"He went over the handlebars and was real evasive about what the injuries were," Arcuri said.
Winslow was wearing a helmet, but it wasn't strapped on and flew off his head, Arcuri said. He and four other men were riding motorcycles in the parking lot, not far from Winslow's home.
The first-round draft pick missed nearly all of his rookie year after breaking his leg in the second game of the season. He has had two operations on the leg.
what an idiot at least we know taylor is working out in miami this guy is out riding bikes after hes broken his leg already what an idiot

This kid has some serious Karma problems. Wonder how long its going to be before the 5 teams that passed on him will PAY for their disrespect. Oh well. What goes around comes around and this kids mouth has certainly come to bite him in the posterior.

I hope Helen Winslow retires so we never, ever have to hear about him or from him again.

Yes, what goes around comes around.
However, as much as I like to see things come back and bite people in the butt. I really don't like to see or hear of bad things happening to people.
I wish Winslow all the best and hope that his recovery be a speedy one.

Don't know if it was in his contract or not, but if I'm the Browns (after the dust settles and it's clear that he's okay) I'm going to be pretty pissed that he was riding motorcycles without a (strapped) helmet on.
Life is fragile. . .hope he gets the point from a non-life threatening injry. Best of luck to him on his recovery, I suppose.

What a moron for not having the helmet strapped. I'm sorry, but he might as well have not been wearing one if its not worn properly.

Wow, Kevin Everett, the Miami TE who was drafted by the Bills this year, tore his ACL today. It's like the twilight zone or something, two Miami TEs going down on the same day!

He's lucky it was only his ribs. To ride without having your helmet strapped is like riding without a helmet.

Only when he laughs.
I had a couple broken in the past and it is painful when somebody cracks a joke.

It was a terrorist attack on his soldier-mobile. This will be avenged.

Let this serve as another warning to every player out there. Don't play for the Browns.

They are now saying he has considerable swelling in his right knee and right shoulder and that the extent of these injuries will not be known until the swelling subsides. Doesn't sound good.

I hope he makes a speedy recovery. He is a beast in Madden, and I am eager to see him be a playmaker for the Browns. It would stink to see him never realize his potential. He could definitely be a gamebreaker.

From KFFL:
Winslow may Miss 2005 Season
Clark Judge, of SportsLine.com, reports the Cleveland Browns are concerned injuries suffered by TE Kellen Winslow Jr. in his motorcycle accident may cost him the entire 2005 season. The primary problem, sources said, are potentially significant injuries to the right knee and right shoulder. The team cannot confirm the extent of the injuires until the swelling in the knee and shoulder subside. In addition, sources said the Browns believe Winslow may have suffered a punctured lung and an injury to his kidney, but neither of those injuries has the team overly concerned.
What a freakin' idiot this guy is.
I bet those K2 supporters are now counting their blessings that we didn't sign this knucklehead last year!

Gibbs is looking smarter by the minute for passing up that "amazing opportunity" and taking Taylor.

And the Postons are looking dumber and dumber by the second. First they screw up with the playing time provision for lasst year, now it looks like Winslow will have to pay back a significant portion of his SB because motorcycles are a banned activity in his contract.
Instead of already being set for life financially, Winslow is probably in the hole. Way to look out for your client.
