More injuries and problems around the league...

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

More injuries and problems around the league...

Post by Punu »

 Mark Clayton strained his left hamstring Saturday and was held out of practice---thats 2 rookies..haha

&

Travis Henry is no show just like TO at minicamp, though mularky is kinda pissed... unlike big andy
Buffalos already is look'n at Henry's replacement, interviewing free agent running back Anthony Thomas

I think A Train is a solid back up, but Henry still has a lot of talent and would be a good fit to the new cards team... they may even be playoff contenders

Aren't the Eagles trying to make a play to get Travis Henry? I think I heard that somewhere...perhaps on ESPN back in the day or something.

Check out the April 26 entry at the bottom of the page here:

For some reason, I think Travis Henry would fit in well at Philly.

Also, A-Train won't be Henry's replacement... That is Willie McGahee. They just want another RB to help them out.

Post by Punu »

I think Henry would get more rushing yards but he wouldnt be able to get all those short recieving yard like westbrook

If Reid does want him, it is only for a fit.

Reid had the most success with Duce Staley, Correll Buckhalter and Brian Westbrook splitting carries.

Last year was supposed to be Westbrook, Buckhalter and Levens, but Westbrook tore his patella tendon(and still can't participate in mini-camp), Levens is old, and players like Thomas Tapeh just didn't cut it.

In the Superbowl, when the Eagles needed the run the most, Westbrook was dismal from the line of scrimmage. Take away a meaningless run at the end of the first half, and his rushing stats are laughable.

So this year, maybe Reid makes a play for a running back by June 1 or so. But Henry was unhappy with McGahee replacing him in Buffalo, so why would he be happy splitting carries THREE ways in Philthy?

Plus, he's holding out. Does Reid want to add yet another holdout character? The list of unhappy Eagles includes TO, Westbrook, Corey Simon, Hollis Thomas, Tra Thomas. They really don't need another player that will rock the boat.
