IRVING – Less than 24 hours after he was cut by Houston, Aaron Glenn secured a job up Interstate 45 with the Cowboys.
The Cowboys signed Glenn, an 11-year veteran, Wednesday, reuniting him with his former coaches (Bill Parcells and Todd Bowles) and teammates (Keyshawn Johnson, Jason Ferguson and Richie Anderson) with the New York Jets.
Glenn, 32, has 35 interceptions in his career and had 63 tackles and five interceptions with the Texans last year, where he started 16 games. He became expendable to the Texans after they acquired Philip Buchanon in a trade from Oakland.

More Cowboys
Glenn has been a starter since he entered the league out of Texas A&M as the Jets' first-round pick in 1994. With the Cowboys he could see most of his action as the nickel corner, playing behind starters Terence Newman and Anthony Henry.
Given the multi-receiver sets the Cowboys will face this year, Glenn should see considerable playing time. The Cowboys were thin at the cornerback spot with Pete Hunter and Bruce Thornton coming off reconstructive knee surgeries and Nate Jones, Jacques Reeves and Lance Frazier entering their second seasons.
While playing for Parcells with the Jets from 1997-99, Glenn earned his first two Pro Bowl spots, intercepting seven passes.
The addition of Glenn continues to upgrade a Cowboys defense that finished 16th in the NFL last year. In addition to Glenn, the Cowboys have added Ferguson and Henry via free agency and selected pass rusher Demarcus Ware, defensive end Marcus Spears and linebacker Kevin Burnett with their first three picks in the draft.
good depth pick up for them, saving money and not overspending is great
