If you saw the press conference that introduced the Redskin's first round picks, you saw the two Auburn players, Carlos Rogers and Jason Campbell, if you looked carefully, you saw something else...Number 17...as soon as I saw that number, it brought back memories of Doug Williams and his awesome performance in Super Bowl XXII, if you don't remember..(Overall, Williams completed 18 of 29 passes for 340 yards and was named the game's most valuable player. His pass-yardage total eclipsed the Super Bowl record of 331 yards by Joe Montana of San Francisco in Super Bowl XIX.)...I firmly believe that Gibbs knows what he is doing and he sees a lot of potential in Jason Campbell...may be enough potential to get us to the Super Bowl in 3-5 years...after all, that's all that's left on Gibbs' contract.....

Hail Jason Campbell--a great QB that played in a real Conference and had great success. Hope he does the same here.

I agree SKINZ_DOMIN8...I think he'll end up being the best QB out of this draft....

Thats right. A real Conference. The SEC is the best there is.
Hail Jason Campbell.

Why not the comparison to Joe Theismann, Sonny, or even Jay Schroeder? Does a black QB automatically bring back memories of Doug? For all we know, he could be the replica of a more recent Redskins great that wore # 17, Danny Wuerffel?

Just wondering.

BTW - If he does turn out to play for us in a big way, like Doug, it will make Joe look like a true genius.

That being said, could Ramsey perhaps be the next Schroeder???

I don't think there is any question a black quarterback wearing number 17 for the Redskins is going to bring back memories of Doug Williams. Just like an overweight white quarterback wearing number 9 for the Redskins is going to bring back memories of Sonny Jurgensen.

However, just because Jason Campbell reminds us of Doug Williams does not mean we should expect him to be Doug Williams. That would be irrational and unfair to Jason...

Well hopefully we won't release him after he wins us a superbowl...

well i think Campbell might be like Doug Williams, but that won't happen until 3 or 4 years of mastering Gibbs system, but if Ramsey screws up, we will be seeing him start much much sooner

I don't care if he's Black, White, Blue or Green, all I want to do is "WIN" football games because I'm tired of loosing.

Go Skins in 05 I don't care if Santa Claus is QB Win baby Win

i find it funny that Dan Synder has not found a way to capitolize and honor #17 doug williams. u would think they would retire that jersey being that he was one of the three redskin qb's to win a superbowl and the only african american.

There is no possible way Dannny Wuerffel can ever be considered a redskins great.
