25. Redskins- QB Jason Campbell, Auburn - (4/44)- The Redskins use their second pick of the first round to select a quarterback despite their having three already under contract. Gibbs has said that he wanted to hand pick his quarterback. It was thought he did that with Brunell. Campbell is talented, that much is clear. How he fits into the Redskins plans is not.

Wingman's take: Why? With three quarterbacks on the roster and a young veteran quarterback leading the team for a coach that doesn't like inexperienced quarterbacks, why would they add a rookie quarterback? And when you need receivers and help with the offensive line, why use the 25th overall pick on that same quarterback? Well, maybe they can sign Leinart next season as well.

That was draft day. It is time to support the coaches and players on the field.

I cannot watch it at work, could someone tell us what it is?? Is it the guy flipping out. Because Scott and I were on the field at the time of the pick and didn't see anyone acting like an idiot. I definitely saw the only clip of the party on Comcast was some guy being a total ass. He even ripped off his jersey and threw it to the floor. On the first pick, because we didn't take Williams. What a little cry baby!

ok got it to work. It just shows the announcement of the pick and then everyone starts ooohhhhing and ahhhhhing. The camera then does a 360 degree turn around the stadium and the clip ends.

I was at the stadium too, and I'll tell you, once the Vikings took Williamson...everyone started cheering and high fiving because we knew Arizona would not take a receiver.....and then when Rogers was announced, everyone just looked stunned.

Smoot left...So a CB was a desperate need...
You all knew that the Skins were going to pick a CB with the #9 pick, so what is everyone so stunned about?

If we got Mike Williams at #9, I'd be psyched!....but then I would sit and worry about the huge whole in the CB position, u know? The corners are the most important. Carlos Rogers did win the Thorpe Award as the best DB in the country last year…So I think we did a good job filling that hole.


About drafting a QB? Well I'm not sure about this move...
What I think is that Gibbs wants Ramsey to prove something, and Ramsey doesn't want to lose his job. That’s for sure!

I mean, look what Marty Shottenheimer did with the Chargers when he picked up Phillip Rivers...Drew Breese was like "WTF?!, I don't wanna lose my job to some rookie!"....and look how well he played.

Gibbs knows these things... It could be a great year for the Rocket Ramsey...

I saw him, too. He is an embarrasment to all Redskins fans but the epitome of what people on this board were acting like, too. I laughed and said to myself: "What an idiot. Grow up, dude."

I really hope that guy isn't a member of this board cuz he made an ass out of himself bigtime.
