I'm sure the subject line has already sent some people's blood pressure up but here's what he had to say.

3. I think, when history judges this draft, one of the best five players in it will be Auburn quarterback Jason Campbell, who went to Washington at No. 24. That isn't to say Washington did a smart thing, paying a ransom for the pick -- particularly when it already has another quarterback there who's good enough to win with and iconsidering Joe Gibbs will be at some racetrack by the time Campbell s an experienced starter. I'm just commenting on the quality of the player. He's good.
good post

Campbell is a great player as proven by his undefeated season in a real conference.

OK, am I the only person waiting for SI to issue a correction? This can't be the same Peter King.

Wasn't Campbell picked at #25?
I think he had too much coffee this morning.

Cambell isn't a bust yet. What surprise? Who isn't a weekend after a draft. If Cambell pans out to be a good qb, Gibbs will regain his status as a genius but for now he has appeared to have lost it.

woah, i was just thinking the same thing...king was just on sportscenter and he was busting the skins about this pick...

Clarett may be a bust, but he must have showed Denver enough to make them draft him in the 3rd. Heck, maybe they dont think Garrison Hearst, Quentin Griffin, Ron Dayne, Tatum Bell, or Mike Anderson will be able to get it done?

I saw that, too, and started wondering if King has a problem with the Redskins. Think about it. Even though this pick may not have made the most sense, he barely mentioned on Sportscenter the upside he thinks Campbell has. And then he drags Art Monk down so that he can't get into the HOF. I'm starting to hate Peter King again...

It's not just King...Has anyone outside the Redskins said anything positive about drafting Campbell?

You know what I don't care what anybody outside of the Redskins has to say. Let them all get there shots in now. When the Skin's start to win they will have nothing to say.

Keep in mind that Gibbs is a coaching "genius," not a talent-evaluating genius. GM isn't his strong suit. I still say we need a "real" GM.

Clarett probably won't be a bust - Denver could start
Ramsey as RB and he would probably rush for 1,500 yds. Next year's blockbuster trade, perhaps?

Who knows what Shanahan is thinking...he needs to be fired after the past few drafts they've had, or he needs to make the playoffs without Elway.

In that case I've said lots of good things about the Skins' draft.
