Post your
Undrafted Rookie Free Agents here
I think we did a good job last year. Garnell Wilds, Rufus Brown, Ryan Boschetti (all had playing time).
The cool thing is, there will be guys signed to the Skins that you have NEVER heard of. I give the Skins credit for finding guys on the street with chips on their shoulder.
1. Brandon Browner - CB

2. Steve Savoy - WR (DC native made Alex Smith #1 overall pick)

3. Victor Sesay - TE

4. Tim Bulman - DT (blue collar mauler)

Westport's Dave Kashetta, Snubbed in NFL Draft, Signs With Redskins
It was a long Sunday for Westport's Dave Kashetta. The former Staples High School football standout and Boston College tight end was not among players chosen in the National Football League Draft.
But a short time later he signed as a free agent with the Washington Redskins.
"I'm really excited," he told reporters later. "I definitely feel I have a lot to prove now."
The 2000 Staples grad, who is listed at 6 feet 3 1/2 inches and 247 pounds, last season made 22 catches for 218 yards with four touchdowns for the Eagles. He will join the Redskins at rookie camp this weekend in Washington.

I like it a lot...check it out...
Strengths: Good hands...Always gives 100%...Very physical and aggressive as a blocker...Decent athletic ability...Solid short yardage receiving threat...Can also long-snap.
Weaknesses: Very slow and will never be able to stetch the field down the seam...Not as big as you would like...Upside is limited.
Notes: Typical blue-collar, workmanlike Boston College tight end...Doesn't do anything great but does everything well which is what will get him a shot in the pros.

Hope so...what do you think.
Feel free to post more than one sentence.
What are your thoughts, are there any UDRFA's you'd like to see?

Kay Jay Harris? To go with Portis, Betts, Cartwright, Morton, Simon, Broughton?
It would be a waste of Harris's time.
I think he would have better luck with another club.
i was surprised that he didn't get drafted....thought at least a 5th or 6th rounder.

There is already a thread like this, Oafus.
We should make an "Official Redskins UDFA Signing Thread."

I like all the prospects listed except savoy...
Browner is a tall corner that can still run fast...never thought he'd be an UDFA...
Sesay would be a good blocking TE that would be great in goaline or short yardage situations...he definately won't be a deep threat
I don't know anything about Bulman but it sounds like he works hard and he's coachable...they said he could flourish in a system that rotates DL, and it sounds like a good fit
I saw Savoy play and i thought he was just okay...he's small but any analyst that compares his hands to a seahawk WR doesn't impress me in the least...just my opinion

There, I changed the subject.
What was the other thread? I noticed the Brandon Browner thread was turning into a UDRFA thread so I put this one up.

Bowner must have some nightmarish injury issues that kept him from being drafted. Put me on the Gause Bandwagon, we do need a DE

Actually I heard that he had a bad work out and interviews with teams.
NFL | Browner Falling - from

Inside The League reports CB Brandon Browner had a disappointing showing at the NFL Combine, which could result in him falling on draft day. He was clocked at 4.73 and 4.68 in the 40-yard dash and it is believed his off-putting attitude during interviews also hurt his cause.
Weird.

The Washington Redskins have signed undrafted rookie free agent WR Tiger Jones (Louisville).
He is Robert McCune's cousin:
http://www.stlouisrams.com/article/48054/Steven Harris is hoping for the same opportunity with the Redskins, who called and expressed interest in selecting him in the sixth or seventh round.
When he wasn’t picked, Harris choose a free agent deal with the Redskins over the chance to sign a free agent deal with Jacksonville.
Harris is a receiver from Arkansas.

So Oafusp, who didn't pay attention when he started this thread, calls out someone else for starting their own thread. And BTP, who doesn't believe in others moderating, locked the thread. You guys are a team!

I want the DE Gause (big, pretty good pass rusher), and SS Ernest Shazor. IMHO Shazor is a first round talent... Bad workouts just hurt his cause. Theres no doubt in my mind Shazor could beat out Clark and Bowen at our other starting safety spot. Taylor and Shazor could really make some teams pay in the future

What about this guy??
http://www.nfl.com/draft/profiles/2005/brooks_cj
He's a local boy and he may come cheap so we have some depth. Possible practice squad guy just in case. Hey Fleetus just for the record BTP is a mod, so it's kind of his job to lock threads and such!

He signed with Oakland.
We also signed West Virginia's Ben Lynch.
