What about trading Ramsey for a 2nd round pick...

Say we trade Ramsey and possibly extra to the Packers in the second round if it seems like Campbell/Frye may fall there...

Think the Packers would bite on getting to have Ramsey (a similar player in style though not in ability...yet) learn from Bret Favre?

Then we use the 9 on Pacman, the 25 on Miller and the 2nd rounder on Campbell, that would give us:

QB- 17 Jason Campbell
RB- 26 Clinton Portis
HB- 47 Chris Cooley

TE- 89 Heath Miller
WR- 83 Santana Moss
WR- (Patten, McCants, Jacobs... in no order based on showing in training camp)

LT- 60 Chris Samuels
LG- 66 Derrick Dockery
C- 61 Casey Raybach
RG- 77 Randy Thomas
RT- 76 Jon Jansen

DE- 93 Phillip Daniels
DT- 96 Cornelius Griffin
DT- 95 Joe Salave'a (with rotation depending on undrafted FA + others)
DE- 97 Reynaldo Wynn

WLB- 56 Lavar Arrington
MLB- 55 Michael Barrow
SLB- 53 Marcus Washington

CB- 24 Shawn Springs
CB- 29 Adam "Pacman" Jones

FS- 36 Sean Taylor
SS- 41 Matt Bowen

To me that looks like a playoff team with a bright future and a shot at the superbowl within a couple years.

I just called Redskins Park, I talked to the lady who answers the phone and she told me all this about Ramsey are just lies, she also told me not to put attention to what the media says, she said on last year´s draft everyone was saying we would get Winslow and that was a strategy to put the attention on someone else instead of Taylor, so the point is all this are lies and rummors, Ramsey will be the QB in 2006 and this came from a source inside redskins park.

Thank you, THE RAM. That's all I need to read. I was thinking about calling there but now I don't need to.

It was just Pastabelly stirring the pot as usual.

I am really starting to get sick of the "lets trade Ramsey" talk being floated around. Prior to the beginning of the off-season Gibbs said that they were going to stick with Ramsey as the starter for next season. I believe that with him taking the majority of the snaps with the first team during training camp, this will allow Ramsey to develop into the good if not great QB that he has the potential to be.

If we could get a 2nd round pick for Ramsey then I'd jump up and down if we got Jason Campbell. Theres no doubt in my mind if he just sits the bench for a year and learns, he'll be an all pro. To be honest the main reason I want Ramsey out is although I think theres a possibility he'll become an all pro, I have the nagging suspicion he's gonna let our team down in crunch time. Ever since that one year with Spurrier where he took a malicious beating, it seemed to me like he'd never ever become the same player again. Regardless, if he stays with us I hope he proves me wrong.

 Sorry, guys, but, I almost peed my pants when I read this exchange.

I mean, honestly....

"When in doubt, speak to the receptionist at Redskins Park!!!???"

Will she be in the war room? Has she been scouting players and preparing her own set of possible draft scenarios??

:-k Although, SHE might be to blame for our allowing Denver to pickpocket us AGAIN. Makes you wonder.

As for Patrick, let's not trade him now. Let him improve next year, and if we MUST get rid of him, trade him when we can get more for him in return. Right now, he still remains a question mark as a QB in the NFL.
