We also have Gardner as trade bait this weekend. What Gibbs and Co have up their sleeves is beyond me, BUT I know the team will be much improved after this weekend.

what if we traded our #9 pick and Gardner to the Browns for their number 3 pick and get Braylon Edwards.
Browns need a receiver and Dfense.
what do you think?

Nobody seems to want Gardner.

half the time I remember Gardner, and half the time I forget about him... it's just something about him that makes me do that...

And then send someone over to their War Room to snag the evidence of the crack pipe we sent them...

Maybe if everyone on here didn't BASH Gardner so badly, we would be able to fool those schmucks in Cleve-land to take him.
Seriously, Rod Gardner is a solid possession receiver. He has had drops, but he is not like the Seattle crew. I believe he'll play well for the next team he is on.

Yeah, because Phil Savage and the Browns head straight for TheHogs.net for their inside info on Rod Gardner.

DID HE USE "SERIOUSLY", "ROD GARDNER" AND "SOLID" IN THE SAME SENTENCE ??????

While I understand the point you are trying to make Junior... what makes you think it's out of the realm of possibility? It might not have specifically been THN, but if you were the Browns and you went online to check out Gardner... would Redskins.com be where you looked for an honest opinion of his worth when the Skins admittedly want to deal him?
Now if you knew your way around a computer and hit ANY Redskins fan site, you're probably going to find the same 50/50 Gardner banter... and when the fan base has little use for a player, surely that would at least make a team look deeper into the deal they were considering.
In Gardner's case... you grab game film from one of his bad games instead of one of the good ones... and we'll be back to settling for a bag of footballs and a couple of pilons.
Maybe we should write some positive Gardner articles tomorrow.
Nope... can't bring myself to act like ESPN and just print what 'sells'. :-"

Let me continue with what seems to be comedy hour:
Gardner's positives:
1.Willing to take a hit
2.Passionate about the game (but gets frustrated way to easily)
3. Makes some GREAT grabs most receivers will miss, although he is inconsistent.
4. Healthy and is not injury prone.
Ok, so the guy always thinks he is being interfered with, and he misses balls mostly when he is NOT being covered.
He still put up solid numbers considering he was a #2 receiver on the worst offensive team in the NFL (close enough anyway...)
Yds 650 Rec 51 TD 5
No fumbles
Also can be utlized for trick plays, but I know this provides no value really.
So go ahead, laugh all you want, but this guy is worth a 3rd round pick easily. We just don't have leverage.
