Wow, that movie is outrageous.
I dont know if you guys have seen it, and if you haven't you should.
I just finished watching and its gnarlly.
I probably have fast food about 1 time a week (and I still will) but I will never look at my Big Mac the same...
My parents found it disturbing, but I found it actually very interesting.
You should seriously go rent it.
PS: And watch the extra called "The Smoking Fry"

i saw it a few weeks ago for the first time, and i'll never eat fast food again. i found it interesting and disturbing at the same time. i don't eat red meat anyway, and this movie just reinforced my motivation to not eat a fast food burger ever again.
the smoking fry was scary. i found the interview with eric schlosser very interesting. they spoke about not just how the fast food industry produces poor quality food, but also how they treat their employees and the environment.

What an off the hook flick.
I live with a vegetarian... we're big fast food eaters.
I love food, I love to cook... how could anyone ever be happy with the sludge they serve anyway?
Super Size Me was a REAL eye opener though and any of you who eat a lot of fast food need to watch this movie to determine for yourself whether saving 5 minutes of time each day by eating fast food is worth the overall risk to your health.
Because this movie leaves little doubt that that's exactly what you're doing eating fast food all the time...
The most shocking part of the whole movie (to me), was their realization of the NEW MEDICAL POSSIBILITY that eating so much fatty food can damage your liver... QUICKLY.
In just 3 weeks, the guy's doctors were BEGGING him to stop the McDonald's diet before he did irrepairable damage.
You deserve a break today...
Eat a Big mac and get fat today...
at McDonalds.

Wow! I'm glad someone started this thread. I've been telling everyone about this movie and just didn't think about starting a thread about it - good idea. This movie changed my life and outlook on what kinda crap I was putting in my body. I watched it Easter weekend and haven't eaten fast food since. Before I was a fastfood eater about 2-3 times a week. Sometimes McDonald's and always for the sake of time and convenience.
What an eye opener! Asked my wife to watch it with me and watched it again....in fact, I rented the DVD for her after watching it on Showtime on-demand the first time. It was cool to see the extras, like the 'smoking fry'. Damn I loved those fries too!
Regardless, no more Micky D's for me. If I want a cheese-burger...which I love, I'll go to a burger joint that has real ground meat.
I've seen ads for a new show called 30 days starring the guy who produced and starred in the movie. Ought to be interesting.

What I think is ridiculous is that 2 girls actually sued McDonalds for making them fat.
That is by far the dumbest lawsuit I have ever heard of.
Interesting Fact: Did you know that about 10 days after the Movie came out, McDonalds stopped selling Super Sized Meals...

Actually, while that's technically correct, there is more to it.
What is now known as "large" was what was known as Super Size ten years ago. The large from then is now the medium. There was no medium ten years ago, they dropped it sometime after introducing Super. Additionally, McDonald's discontinued the ridiculously large Super Size (who needs a 44oz. unlimited refill soda???

) because the menu was too big. It's expensive to maintain too much variety in products. Then end result is basically a terminology change.
