LAVAR LOOKING TO GET OUT?

From profootballtalk.com

Although the cap consequences of a trade or release of linebacker LaVar Arrington would likely force the Redskins to carry only 36 guys on the roster this season, Arrington could be thinking about making a move out of D.C.

Last week, Arrington sounded off on the team for the manner in which his knee injury has been handled, suggesting that the organization rushed him back to the field too quickly in 2004, and that the team didn't properly publicize his recent setback, which resulted in arthroscopic surgery.

And we've heard that Arrington recently was in Cincinnati visiting with some Bengals players. The Bengals head coach, by the way, is former Redskins defensive coordinator Marvin Lewis.

So what does this mean? Likely nothing.

But maybe something.

Arrington has been with the Redskins since 2000, and he has seen a revolving door of head coaches and a constant steam of unfulfilled expectations. At some point, he's sure to conclude that enough is enough.

Even if Arrington would love to leave the 'Skins and rejoin Lewis in the Queen City, the cap simply won't let it happen.

Of course, the Redskins should have thought about that before they gave receiver Laveranues Coles a ticket out of town simply because he was unhappy (hey, Laveranues, plenty of people aren't happy with their jobs, but they still drag their asses out of bed every day and go to work). By giving in to Coles, the 'Skins established a potentially dangerous precedent that might cause a guy like Arrington to pout and cry and piss and moan until he gets a ticket out of town, too.

Either way, it's bad news for a team whose head coach is trying desperately to put a happy face on a continuously deteriorating situation.

I would have no problem trading lavar i mean our defense can thrive without him. I really think we should package him for a d end. Hes not worth the trouble he has never peaked and every year his hype is way overboard. He needs to take the next step up in his game and become a superstar.

Yeah, I don't believe anything these guys say anymore. After the SRolle ordeal, I'd rather believe a newbie on the site. :) :)

Lavar is on record talking about how much he hated playing for Marvin Lewis. This story has no legs.

Regardless of the source, any story that contains speculation about an Arrington trade can be immediately disregarded. I don't know the figures (Boss Hogg has posted them in the past) but the salary cap ramifications make an Arrrington trade virtually impossible.
And I've noted that the last few times the Arrington blow up was reported, the stories omitted the fact that Gibbs met with Arrington and patched things up, thus Arrington's subsequent (and predictable) change of tone in which he blamed the media for his petulant outburst.
Now I've spent more time than I care to remember beating the media-bias-against-the-Redskins drum but making a concious decision to exclude pertinent and salient facts flies in the face of objectivity.
I don't think for a minute that members of the media are out to get the Redskins but I am increasingly tired of the reporters who seemingly relax their standards where the Skins are concerned.

It's the offseason. It's more than likely that PFT is trying to draw some attention to itself to have some listeners and readers for the draft coverage this weekend.
Is this the same program that BH was interviewed on last year ? I was a frequent caller to that show until the novelty wore off.

If you don't want to be a Redskin then get out. This goes for anyone on the team. Props to Daniel Snyder for threatening to "Marcus Allen" Coles and buy him a flat screen t.v. while he watches the season. Glad he isn't here anymore same with Roland and Spewt.
