I am intrigued to know if this has any coverage in the US and if you are clued up who would you vote for?

It seems the UK media were very keen on giving their 2 cents over the US election I though you guys could let me know what you think?

How is the UK thought of over there?

You have elections in the UK? I thought you had kings and queens and you just had to have the right parents. :hmm:

Seriously, I haven't seen any coverage on it at all. What are the issues at hand? Who are the candidates?

Now see I am no fan of the Royal family, Cromwell had the right idea there!

Our election system is 'first past the post' they tally up all the votes in the districts and whoever got the biggest share gets the memper of parliment. That means we have three main parties but only two of them have a real chance

We have Labour - Tony Blair he has been in power for a while, we have a good economy but the war in Iraq upset a few people (not me gotta fight with your allies) and people are getting upset about immigration which they think Labour is weak over.

We have Conservatives powerful under Thatcher weak and old fashioned today! They like issues such as immigration, crime but they screwed the economy last time they were in power and people find it hard to trust them.

Liberals..well they are liberals they get a moderate share of the vote but never enought to win enough seats.

There you go...you asleep yet

There is hardly any difference in political views between -leaders- of all parties in your country. But you can have the comfort that such a trend is increasingly prevalent in many other countries.

A few decades ago, there were really significant ideologic and political differences of opinion. No more. You have a PM that behaves just like any other Tory in your country.

Some people say he will be punished in this election but I doubt it. The British people have NO REAL ALTERNATIVE OPTION. Although his party will lose quite a few seats.

Do not expect much general coverage in the US, maybe in Canada but not in the States. Most people in the US will be busy with many other domestic issues (far more important of course).

Where could we possibly fit it into the nightly news, what with all the wars we're juggling and Michael Jackson's trial?

I knew it. TO is a smokescreen thrown up by the Jew-run media to keep people in the dark about important issues. Those sneaky heebs ...
