Hey people! Whuts good! Its ya boy CP here to deliver you my opinions on the NFC east...your free to add your feedback or comments.
Lets start with the...
Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles ( as much as I dislike them) made some good moves this offseason. They resigned Trotter, and I can only imagine they may resign Westbrook. They seem set for next year. Of Course they had success last year, going to the Superbowl, and theres no reason they shouldnt compete for another try. Unfortunatly, they also have a cupcake schedule, which means another good record. But I do complement the Eagles organization on good cap managment and player selection (aside from T.O). (12-4,11-5)
That brings us to...
The Dallas Cowboys Tsk Tsk Tsk....30 Million dollars in singing bonuses and what do you get? Bam, Presto, 1 Pro Bowl caliber player. With Vinny Intercepteverde gone, and Drew Bledsoe inserted, the Cowboys can look forward to more sacks and less interceptions. Thats a good thing right? The Cowboys don't have a very easy schedule (because we're on it...) but I'm sure they will finish at least 1-15,or 2-14. But seriously, my prediction for the Pukes is around 7-9 or a 6-10 repeat.
Now for...
The New York Giants With the signing of PlasticToe Burress, things are looking up for the Giants, who went on a 8 game losing streak only to peak my intrest in week seventeen with a comeback victory. However, Rookie Eli still needs development, and I don't expect them to do very much on the Offensive Side of the ball...on the other hand, Antonio Pierce should prove a lethal weapon in the middle of the field, giving the defense some leadership. Still, the Giants will only finish 8-8 at best, and 5-11,4-12 at worst.
And last but defintly not least...
The Washington Redskins Outsiders, I hate em. Homers, don't like em. But oddly, its really a battle between these two. Will the skins suceed? Not to the outside analyst or fan. But to Homers (and true fans) the Redskins will be strong this year under the leadership of Patrick Ramsey, finally with a full season to play. Clinton Portis looks to have a big year with the newly revamped line. The only question is Derrick Dockery, who unperformed jus a bit last year. The Losses of Smoot and A.Pierce appear large, and just like a side window, they are larger than they appear. However these holes can be covered (haha, no pun intended), in the NFL Draft. Look out for Antrell Rolle or Pac Man. If not them, a virtual unknown (much like Chris
ey was). Gibbs selects hidden gems. That aside, with the Defense set and the offense hopefully gelling, there is no reason to thing the Skins can't pull of a Playoff Berth, 9-7,10-6 or even 11-5.
Well thats my summary, feel free to leave comments.
