Corners

If we pick a corner here is why. Not becuase it is a need but Springs has been injury prone in the past and is 30 and Walt Harris is over thirty. Even though it sounds like were picking a corner I know for one thing Gibbs also conveinced the media that he was picking Winslow. So learning from last year I have no clue what we are going to do. We might pick the guy from MD and play him at De. At 275 he is not undersized and fills a pass rushing need. My gut says that we are going to end up drafting Williamson or Williams and Rolle will not be a Redskin even if he is available. It wouldn't suprise me if we got Jones, but I am not sold on him ethier. If you guys don't believe me about Winslow than ask the Browns they traded up becuase they thought for sure from what Gibbs said they were picking Winslow. By the way I am so glad we picked Taylor over Winslow.

When I said I am not sold on Jones, I meant not sold on him getting drafted by the Redskins. I think he will be a good player and has a big heart. That is why he said he wants to be here because he knows Gibbs looks for that stuff and he feels inside Gibbs is going to take someone else.

THE NEWS
Redskins' head coach Joe Gibbs has identified the cornerback position as his team's biggest need heading into the draft, according to the Washington Post. As such, the team has or will play host to the top-three rookie cornerbacks in recent days. Adam "Pac-Man" Jones, Antrel Rolle, and Carlos Rogers have all either visited team headquarters or have visits scheduled. The Redskins hold the No. 9 overall pick in the draft.
OUR VIEW
The Skins should be able to land one of those cornerbacks. Two teams that pick ahead of the Redskins – the Titans and Cardinals – are also rumored to be in the market for defensive back help. However, both teams have additional needs and are not necessarily locked in on selecting cornerbacks in the first round. In other words, there is a chance that the Skins could have their pick of the top-three cornerbacks, while there is also a chance they will have to settle for the third best cornerback available.

Mosrt mock drafts have braylon edwards getting drafted before mike williams, and have williams getting drafted by vikings...lets say vikings pass on him(obviously they have some wr's that stepped up) and if vikigns do pass the cardinals definetly wont get him, so there may be a chance,a slight chance, but I like the thoght if even havign a chance

This year unlike most years, is truly a big mystery. I am tired of the speculation, just waiting for draft day. I trust the coaches in their assesment and I am sure they will get the best man available come #9, or somehow trade down.
