QB sleeper...

What's up gentlemen (and ladies),
I am new to the site.
I was wondering if anyone is as intrigued with Adrian Mcpherson, the QB from Florida State and the Arena League's Indiana Firebirds team. This kid might be a star. I hear a lot of talk about Matt Jones being a "freak" but this dude has all the athletic ability and a cannon for an arm. The 'Skins could always use a QB of the future if Ramsey doesn't pan out or gets hurt.

I don't know anything about the kid, but I'm sure someone here does.

Welcome to the boards Esquirekj
Adrian Mcpherson still has a rifle for a arm huh
I don't think Gibbs would look at a QB with Adrian's off the field issuses.

Welcome to the board.
Not sure what to think about mcPherson. He wasn't exactly the picture of character when he....huhmmmm,shall we say, left FSU.
btw, I moved your post to the draft forum, since there are many draf junkies who may want to comment but don't check all the forums.

Welcome to the board.
We have higher priorities than QB. So, this will not happen in one of our few top rounds. But maybe if somebody good drops to later rounds...

I dont think McPherson's character is a problem anymore. He's definitely learned his lesson, and he's spent the last two/three years proving to the league that it was a one time thing. He's dominated the Arena league, has an amazing arm, great accuracy, great mobility, and great size. After a few amazing workouts it seems like he'll definitely be drafted on day 1, and maybe as high as the 2nd round. If for some reason teams pass on him however, I'd like to draft him with our 4th rounder, although we should pass on him in the 3rd because there are more pressing needs then QB

We should definately draft this guy. I'd play him right now ahead of Brunell. Guys, we don't have a backup quarterback. I know there are people in the world insane enough to think that we do, but we don't-- unless we're talking about Gardner. Contrary to what most think, this is the perfect time for us to take a few chances. Being conservative this time out will net us nothing but mediocre ball players because of our position in the draft and the players available. The only way we can materially help our team this season is to strike gold with a wild shot. Matt Jones, McPherson, Larry Brackin, Fabian Washington or lower, Canty, the basketball player. Trade down. Pick up Matt Jones first, the best CB second, then McPherson, tell Brackin to gain 30 pounds, etc.

One thing about Mcpherson, yes the kid has had "issues" in the past....but I think he has a huge upside. He would be a steal in the 4th round (if still there) and I would seriously consider him.
I wouldn't be surprised if he becomes a dominant QB in this league some day.

I agree he could e our backup behind r amsey...and if ramsey ever goes down or doesnt perform well then this guy could step in
