The Day After

How do y'all feel the day aftr that one?
I don't know if I'm just expecting less or getting beaten into submission, but I was happy that we at least competed yesterday. (silver lining?)
The trick plays were sweet and reminiscent of the good ole Joe Gibbs days when you never knew what kind of fancy shiz nit you would see. The call on the Hass catch was bogus. Does anyone know the last time that a WR threw for 2 TDs in a game? Has it ever happened in the modern day NFL?
On the dull side... the bears had 429 yards and until they played us were the last place team in the league for total offense. That means that this defense can't stop ANYBODY.
But Chad Morton continues to make me go WOW... the guy could shake and bake you twice in a phone booth man. It's like he has little rockets in his feet and every time his foot lands it goes ZING! in another direction

I still feel terrible. I like some of the talent we have, but whenever I watch a Redskin game, I just see a bunch of boys who don't wanna play for their pride, the team, the fans, or anything else for that matter. In genral, some, if not most, of the talent we have is really mediocre and aren't in good shape. I see a team that doesn't want to man up and except any blame for their mistakes. I see people who won't hesitate to blame someone else for their problems. I think we have the best talent in the league, but bar none, we stink. I am still in shock and I doubt even Christmas will break me out of it.

Bahhhhh!!!!!
... priorities Jake.
This is just football.... it's only a game.
Christmas is about family. You can get by in life without football, but it's a lot harder struggle without family.
I'm not disputing anything you said about the team, but that's their cross to bear, not ours. They're the ones that have to look at themselves in the mirror everyday.
Spend Christmas being thankful that you're fortunate enough to enjoy the Redskins every week with your mom... not thinking about the team itself. The team won't always be this bad, but without you're mom, you'd never even know it. Spend Xmas showing her how much that means to you.

I never saw Dockery move - and I don't even like him! I think the refs handed this one to the homers in homersville. On fourth and inches, the Skins are flagged and forced to let brianna barker punt... that was a turning point in the game, the refs gave a Christmas present to the Bears - and the kick damn near fell short. The team showed heart at least. We need to crunch the Eagles and send them limping into the playoffs!

this pretty much describes my mood. i know the season is over.....the games just make me laugh at this point(it's eaiser than beating my own head against a wall). i expected a loss, i expect a bad loss to the eagles. maybe we'll have a good offseason again, this past offseason is the only time i've felt really good about the team in a while.

too bad it didn't pan out.

I always am sad this time of year to see another football season end. It's the one thing I enjoy watching on TV....other teams included. But this year, maybe I will be glad to see it end...and be hopeful that next year brings change and not the same 'ole ball coach.
