As far as taking sacks … part of that also is there were times when people said I was holding on to the ball and there wasn't much time, period. And as far as the turnovers, I had a year two years ago where I was getting hit a lot and fumbled the ball a lot. But that's never really been a big problem of mine.

"The lack of mobility, that one, I've just kind of let that one go forever. I'm not fast. But there are a lot of guys that are a hell of a lot slower than I am. Somebody wants to do a pay-per-view race between me and [Tom] Brady, sign me up."

 This guy, man.

He's just a funny guy. Have fun kissin the turf Drew.

How is this taking a shot?

Just a statement. I'm sure Brady doesn't care, as he says Bledsoe was nothing but a good soldier and mentor to him.

Oh, CP, it's the offseason; let's not be too hard on Primetime.

In fairness, I think Patrick is just as fast as Bledsoe, and he's almost 10 yrs. younger.

Bledsoe is no Vick, but, with his confidence renewed, he could be dangerous.

That being said....

Lavar: rip his head off!!!!

Of course I do...because this whole thing is based on someone taking pointless shots at people, which it is not. Just defending himself when it comes to his running. He's saying he's a statue because he CHOOSES to be.

You're acting like certain members of the media whom you love to hate by making something out of absolutely nothing.

They still keep in touch...I'd be willing to bet Brady called him on it already. The race is next month.

And I would, too, even at the expense of giving up a chance to Poke fun at a "cowboy". And there are only a few things, in this world, more tempting than joking about Dallas, the "Cowboys", their current players, or their fans.

As I think about it, how many "cowboys" are there in Dallas, anyway?

I went through DFW once -- small sample, I'll admit -- but people didn't look much different than anywhere else. Cars, trucks, highways, office buildings, railroads, apartment buildings, houses, malls, but nary a cowboy did I see anywhere near Dallas.

Later, we went to a minor league baseball game just outside Austin, and, again, I didn't see anyone who looked much different than fans at a minor league game anywhere else. It might have been the Jersey Jackals at Yogi Berra Field, except that the Red Rock stadium is much bigger.

So, where are the real cowboys? Any in Dallas? Did JR Ewing run them over, all of them, in his limo?

But on topic, it sounds like Bledsoe was telling a joke -- Brady and I are both so slow that -- and I bet Tom Brady also had a laugh.

It's easy to laugh when you have all the Super Bowl rings.

Bledsoe says: One thing that is kind of frustrating," he continued, "is that I've been in the league 12 years, [I'm] No. 10 all time in passing yardage, no one other than [Brett] Favre and [Dan] Marino has gotten to 40,000 yards faster than I have [at 39,808, Bledsoe is just 743 yards behind Joe Montana for eighth place], but it's like I'm just another guy."

Guess this is what happens when you have no personality and consistantly put your teams in a position to lose games. He should fit right in with Dallas.

Pray, tell me how he puts his team in position to lose games more than any other QB on that list?

I hate having to agree with a "Cowboy" fan, but Bledsoe was a good QB for New England. Almost everyone, including us Redskin fans, thought he was the best young QB in the league when he was there. I was stunned when the Patriots began to start that no-name Tom Brady, and just waited for Bledsoe to re-assume his rightful place.

Experience teaches more than theory...my paraphrase from Hegel.

But, as Hegel adddd, why does Bledsoe think it necessary to compare himself to other QB's? Does he need media praise and adulation? If so, maybe that's the reason, in addition to the cap, that Belicheck sent him to Siberia.

I don't remember that Phil Simms ever felt it necessary to boast about his statistics and demand more "respect". Maybe there's more to the background, and I'm sure that PT42 can provide it, but it sounds like a wee character flaw.

[To demonstrate Redskin fairness: before the "wind bowl" NFC championship of the '86 season, they asked Simms, "How will you handle this wind?" He answered, "It's tough to throw. I'll be careful when going against it." They asked Jay Schroeder, who said, "No problem...you just keep the nose of the ball down and throw with power." Guess who got whipped by the wind, and guess who won. Schroeder was benched mid-way through the next season, and traded.]

I will say he's got security issues because of what happened in New England.

Not to say he was screwed. Belichick did the right thing going with Brady. The circumstances just sucked.
