I'm thinking Subway Series II.
'Course, I think the Yankees will be in it every year. :D
David Wells, and the subtraction of Pedro, puts it all on Bloody Sock boy...and he can't handle it.
Pick 'em !

true 'bout the sox pitching staff. it's definitely not as good as last year. however, young theo has proved that he'll do what it takes to fill the voids, and i have faith that he'll pick up a starter or two at the trade deadline. i think it'll again come down to the sox and yanks, with whoever wants it more going to the series. in the nl, they say that the cards are even better this year. if they can keep from choking, yikes.

I'm with Skinschic - Nats all the way :-)

I think the Sox have a good chance again and the yanks (unfortunately) will always hover close to the series. I dunno

The Red Sox pitching staff looks weaker on paper, but in actual practice I bet dollars to donuts that the team ERA of Boston is better than it was in 2004.

Schilling is still a rock solid horse, then you put Clement in who had a 2.92 ERA at the all-star break last year, Wells who doesn't walk anyone, Miller, Arroyo, Wakefield, Kim, Halama... We've got so much depth that we'll be having some solid pitching performances.

Oh, and Trot Nixon's back at full health, Renteria gives us a solid SS all season on both sides of the ball, Bill Mueller healthy with an improved Kevin Youkilis backing him up... and an official team captain...

The Red Sox will win the AL East by at least 5 games IMO and the Yankees will struggle to make the playoffs.

You heard it here first...

PS- Now let's drop that Nationals and Orioles foolishness :)

Maybe they can play an exibition at the end of the season for the Beltway Cup! How cool would that be if non playoff teams did that? The answer: very

It all depends on the Balco trial..if they continue to let Bonds use roids.. I like the Giants in the National league....and I hate to say it but the Yanks will be back this year.

(a) Yankess against...<I can't predict>

(b) The SeNATors will finish ahead of the Mets, who always manage to lose. Pedro M. will have a sore arm for much of the season. Beltran will hit like Mo Vaughan.

(c) Nats draw 2 million fans. Angelos will turn purple.

The Jays are BACK!
Naw, just kidding. Even tho I think they will improve w/o (car)Los. Kinda hard to do anything when you are in the same division as the Sox and Yanks.
Braves over Yanks
