Ahhhhhh....feels good when you're right. What can I say? I'm a genius!!
But anyway.....you know what, my message for this year is exactly the same. (Not that any of you care...

) I hope for AT LEAST .500
What are your thoughts? Or is it too early in the offseason to start thinking about this?
For the record.....it wasn't my intent to make this a "I told you so" post....

Once again, I find my self saying that we can only get better. And once again, I am right. With Brunel out, by using Coley as a reciever more often, getting Patten and Moss, getting rid of a locker room cancer in Coles and probably getting rid of brick hands gardner, our passing game can only get better. With a younger center, with Jansen back, our run game can only get better.
With Daniels coming back our pass rush will only get better, along with a possible DE pick up in FA or draft. Our D will only get better in general with Bowen and Arrington back. Sean Taylor will only get better.
So, it can only get better. Right?

I wasn't on last year, but this year I will say...your prediction is not exactly going out on a limb...since only 1 team of 32 can win the Superbowl. But, you try to win everygame, and as a fan you think your team can win each game you watch...at least I do...but that is the point..being a fan is not rational...its insane...Gibbs did go to the superbowl in his second year with the team the first stint...not sayin it will happen again, but DEFINITELY NOT SAYIN IT WON'T...I like being insane...I love the Skins and I will always think we have a chance to go to the dance.

I like the way you think Hogster and have enjoyed your posts so far - pm me when you reach 200 and get your well deserved custom "insane" avatar!

If history does indeed repeat itself...JG goes to the SB, Baby! Remember, he played the best teams in the NFC and AFC and held them to the end...very tight games.
He will succeed...One of my best friends is a Philly fan, and he admitted that the 'skins are going to be tough in JG' second year.

Congrats. You're bragging about your favorite team going 6-10.
Oh but I guess you being right is more important than us winning.
(P.S I am aware that when I made my post I was wrong. I looked at our talent on paper, and I saw a winner. I did not take key injuries that could happen, and Mark Brunell into acount.)

Chances are, there will be injuries again this season. And if they are in the linebacking or secondary, it may really spell trouble. Not to say that Wilds or Marshall or Clemons could not step up, but this is NOT the Colts offense, even when healthy.
So the Skins, once again, will not be racking up so many points that their opponent evetually runs out of time trying to make it up. Remembering last year, it's usually a case of the Skins trying to see if they can get the 20 points they need to win.
I just can't see the Skins record improving vastly over last year. A few bounces going Washington's way might spell a couple more wins, but even they sneak into the playoffs, they'd likely be dispatched quickly by a team with more talent. As much as I love the Skins, most teams just have more talent.
Please refer back to THIS next season if I'm wrong. I'd be so happy, I wouldn't care. But, unless Ramsey plays SO much better than we've EVER seen him play, I don't see this being smushed into my face. It's hard not to like Patrick, but you're only given so long in this league to become a solid winner. Tick tock...

Go a few pages into your own link and you'll see user "ChalkTalk". He goes after the Redskin fans pretty hard.
There.
Better ?

Thanks TC! Speaking of "a blast from...." where is that guy?
I also thought 1niksdeR's "summary" of a fan and the posters here was to the point.
We are Redskins fans and we expect/demand a lot from our team.
Joe had a huge task in front of him and he has shown IMO that we can be competitive. I felt the effort was a lot better and the games against the better teams like the steelers last year are encouraging.
The NFL no longer has a huge difference between the top 16 teams. I think we have a very good chance to be in the playoffs because of this and IMO we will be positioned by Joe and Co. to stay there.

This will be the first spring in years that nobody can say we're trying to buy our way into those same "playoffs" you speak of. I'm feeling very comfortable with the bandwagon on cruise control.
As for "ChalkTalk", a quick search on his/her user name shows that he/she hasn't posted since the beginning of last June.
Oh, well. You can see that he's/she's clearly very missed, what with all the "ChalkTalk" shrines we have scattered throughout the forums.

Actually I was hoping not to "wake" he/she! We have enough going on!
I agree about this spring, way too early to know, but am cautiously optimistic that we might not only be "competitive" but also have some young depth and DS' deep pockets available for responsible spending in the next few years.

I'm thinking the reason for that is more the Coles/Smoot/cap thing than Danny being frugal.
