Do you think Patten and Moss will be better then Coles and Gardner.

I would have to think so. Coles and Gardner are definetely better on paper. But a lot of the problem was Boonell. They were not that productive last season so Moss and Patten really have to stink to be less effective. And I am not altogether sold that it will be Patten that starts opposite Moss.

Yes, we can only improve from last years passing game. Patten and Moss will create matchup problems. even though they are not big guys, their speed forces defenses from crowding the line of scrimmage. Bigger holes for Clinton, equals bigger plays downfield.

our entire passing game is going to be better... we totally upgraded our o line...
Patten is going to surprise a lot of people... he has skills...

The thing is. You know how Gibbs likes to call short hitch passes? Who’s going to be the one to catch the short ones and get hit right away? Patten is a speed guy, and Moss doesn't like getting hit. I know Gibbs is planning on throwing long, but he's probably going to mix in some short hitch passes. I'm just wondering, since Coles is gone, whose going to be the one to catch the short yardage passes? Small penis Portis? Darnarian veterinarian? Remember how hard Coles got hit on those short routes? Which Redskin is going to have the balls to run them?

WHAT? Small penis? Where did that come from?
I think it's going to be SMoss....unless he specifically asks not to be in those situations.

ey is too slow to run those routes..
I think Moss will be just fine.... And if he doesnt like getting hit then maybe he can go play soccer

I believe

ey is more than capable. A lot of people slept on him last year. He has the ability to get open and probally has the best hands on the team aside from McCants. So what he's not as fast as K2, or

ey... He can make the catch, and rumble for some good YAC.

With a Joe Gibbs offense that's part of the problem(when it is clicking)... The defense can cover both wideouts, account for Portis out the backfield and

ey and feel better good ...until the blocking Te (maybe Royal) is wide open 26 yards downfield and nothing infront of him.
The hitch will be set so the receiver only has to shake the the 1st defender then it's off to the races. The speed of Patten and Moss will make the hitch a plus.
Patten and Moss also have a history of running north whereas Mr. Coles looked great going east and west

definitely. Let's assume that Patten and Coles cancel each other out with Coles injury. That leaves Moss vs Gardner. From what I've seen, Moss runs good routes, he's fast and he CATCHES the ball. Nuff said.

Thrash of course
Patten is also a tough guy and he can roll cooley out there for those too. The main thing though, is that Gibbs will not use that play all that often next season. With a good offensive line, a spread field from speedy receivers, a more confident ramsey and more of the playbook put into action, we won't have the time or need to run as many of those as last year.

The wideouts will be better because nobody is guaranteed to start. We have true competition here now. Last year, Jacobs, Thrash and McCants all knew that Coles and Gardner were going to start. This year, I think any two from Moss, Patten, Jacobs and Thrash could all start - and they probably think so too.
Competition will bring results.
