"The Texans have given both of their starting inside linebackers, Jamie Sharper and Jay Forman, permission to seek trades. If either player can't work out a trade, there is a strong possibility they will be released."
his cap number is over $6 mil for this year so he'll need a new deal wherever he ends up, i dont think there are too many teams in need of a starting MLB (and im not positive the skins think they need one), he is also a UVA grad and a former Raven ... if Barrow is out the door (which i think he is) he might be a possibility for us

We don't have the cap space to sign Sharper....any why do we want another old LB?
Plus, if we sign him and then Barrow ends up healthy what do we do then? You can't just cut either guy because of the cap implications.

If there were no cap we could argue about his effectiveness and where he would fit in etc. But with the salary cap? It can't happen. We cannot add another linebacker to this team. If this team signs a linebacker I'm going to become a fan of world cup soccer and let that take up all my time.

Soccer would take up a lot of your time - if you became a fan. But, World Cup Soccer is only every 4 years - so this would allow only 3 years of frustration!!!

you can just cut barrow, because he's never played a down for the skins, the cap implications are different if the player has never played

That's news to me. I know for sure that he is still counting on our cap space now. If thats true then that changes things. Still, I would rather have a younger player who plays MLB as his natural position. Not that I would be upset if we did sign him...without breaking the bank of course.

If the guy hasn't healed totally, you'd more than likely have to pay the injury settlement.
