At least the Skins now know (just in case they didn't already know) that "ROCK" is worth keeping around.

They also know that Rashid Bauman may be a brighter spot in the remainder of the year - some good plays today and a nice blitz

I love you brothers, for pointing out some bright spots...and don't disagree with either...but damn, it's hard for me to see much positive. We got our asses handed to us by a division rival and worst the pukes...who we all know aren't that good. We are a sorry football team right now and have been for sometime. I don't think it's a piece here and there. I think we need major changes.

I know we all wish we could change the FO...but that's not going to happen. I'd like to see a full blown new coaching staff and major rebuilding process started...so that in a couple to three years we might actually start competing, instead of fooling ourselves into believing we're close.

Don't get me wrong, we have some keepers, but we need a major overhaul.

TH - While I agree that a major coaching overhaul is probably what is needed, I disagree that there is a major overhaul of talent needed.

OL - has gotten better, not worse, and the backups that we are playing now will be better backups next year for the experience and we won't have to sweat the depth with no namers we haven't see perform.

RB - I know most hate Trung, but we haven't seen him at his best due to the injuries. This is one position where one major move could be made.

WR - lose Gardner - bring in another posession receiver or elevate McCants. I think this position is where we could use a couple of minor FA pickups.

QB - solid at this position despite Hasselbeck's bad performance. Don't waste money or picks

TE - Don't waste money or picks on a position that Spurrier basically ignores except to bring in man mountain earth mover types to help run block.

DL - Get Chase and Russell in there together to see what they can do. I haven't seen that tandem enough to see if they could put pressure up the middle and disrupt runs and passes. Spend highest draft pick on another man mountain Tony Siragusa/Sam Adams type - doesn't have to be highest pick - probably on a DE - bring in good young free agents who have upside potential - stay away from Sapp and his ilk - we don't need high priced diaper fillers who can't perform anymore.

LB - don't touch it - they are good. Just change the friggin scheme

CB - sign Bailey - trade Bailey - we don't need that holier than thou attitude, and two high picks would go a long way to filling some requirements - a one and three at least if not like a first this year and a second next year. There will be enough free agents that we will be able to replace him.

S - While I like Ohalete and his fight and Bowen and his hits (which due to the scheme are fewer and farther apart) we need help at one or the other position. With a DC who knows his stuff these guys might actually be better than they look.

K - good
KR/PR - good
P - bring in every Punter available to play for a huge two month punt off as far as I am concerned. Every single punt is kept track of. Every pooch is monitored. There has to be someone better. Barker was the punter equivalent of Bruce/Deion - old, expensive and not really as good as he used to be - and he was. But we have learned that lesson now, I hope.

So really - outside the coaching changes that SHOULD BE MADE AND QUICKLY.... DL x 2 or 3, S, CB, WR, RB.

We aren't that bad even though we feel like crap after tonight. Realistically we have been in most games - lets face facts - they knew they were out of it, there was inclement weather, we had backups at a lot of important positions, they wanted it and we didn't.

Just my 4200 cents :)

Great points! It seems worse because it was Dallas.

All the points are valid.

It is just much worse because it was our arch rival.

they wanted it and we didn't

You see, to me that just can't be mentioned in passing.

You're absolutely right... and there's no excuse for that. When the Cowboys sucked in season's past, they always showed up to play us didn't they?

Where's the pride?

To me that was the most disheartening thing about yesterday... no pride. We had enough injuries at key positions to point to if we lost (with a solid effort).

But that was no solid effort.

Skinsfan....I agree with your analysis, but am not sure the talent level is a solid as we believe or it would make up for some sorry heart...the Boss is right on...you can have all the talent in the world, but no heart and you get slammed.

They've been 1-15 and kicked our butts. I'm tired of getting beat by these guys. Show me some no names with heart and they'll play a better game than our talent and/or backups played yesterday. What a weak excuse for a football team....at home nonetheless. Sad!

I totally agree with you on the heart issue my brothers in agony. I do believe that we need to get a motivational type of coach, much like the one in Tennessee (Jeff Fisher) or someone like that. I am so tired of seeing the philosophical looks on our coaches faces as people whoop our tails like yesterday. I am tired of the apologetic crap spewed forth from Norv, then Marty, now SOS.

These players coaches are just that. Ever stop to think why these guys might just be backing the "players coach" in Edwards? Could it be that they don't want someone who might make them work for a living a bit more? Someone who might have credentials and make them work for the millions they get whether they win or lose?

Ah... maybe I am just being bitter - that damn hot tub didn't do me any good....

You know... sometimes it DOES suck being Rich :)

I'm with you all the way Rich. You are dead on. I'm also pissed we let Marvin Lewis get away for SS. I believe Marvin is a no-nonsense coach and would have gotten the best out of our players. He didn't tolerate misassignments, etc.

Did you see him jump on his receiver the other day for holding up that stupid "please don't fine me NFL" sign?

If we had Lewis as our head coach this season, we'd be in the race for the division title and the NFC East would be one hell of a race. At least between us and the Eagles...cause we'd have put to cans of whoop ass on the pukes....I know it!
