This is starting to look more and more like BS. I can't seem to confirm it from anywhere.

I'm going to edit it out

I don't trust that site.

Plus, I don't see Red McCombs signing ANYBODY until he sells the team. That's money out of his pocket.

Well something is up in Minnesota because Comcast Sportsnet is reporting that he is likely on his way out. Minnesota's sports radio station is already confirming a deal in place.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day. That same source has dealt out so many bogus rumors, that it's hard to know...

I think you're probably referring to the numerous fake KFFL posts that pop up on various msg boards.

I got it from someone I've known (internet wise) a long time who I trust somewhat who claims to be an insider with KFFL.

KFFL is a great source of NF info...not the kffl message boards.

This time of year things move so fast .... and fall apart even faster, so it's hard to know what is fact unless you can find other links or have a source that YOU trust.

Good scoop curveball

no, actually he left the redskins for a whole $800,000.

At first, I was angry that Smoot was getting into a snit about wanting $14 million over the Redskins $10 million. He left for a "whole $800,000" because he sees that this team is the epitome of dysfunction and that it will never field a winner here as long as Snyder is the owner. I hope he does REALLY well in Minnesota just so he can stick it to Snyder. The same holds true for Pierce. Next January, when we're sitting at home watching the playoffs (AGAIN!!!!!!), I'm going to do a count of how many former Redskins made it to the post-season. How much do you wanna bet that Smoot will be among them?

Not just $800K

He'll be getting an average salary of $6M over the first three years - much less than the Skins offered. To match it would have made a bad cap situation worse. We've been conditioned to think lately that it's all about the signing bonus. It's not.
