Play DMac!

Gibbs needs to play DMac so we have a big reciever. We have a group of Smurfs and no big recievers...do we realy have to draft someone when we have a big guy right here in our Roster?
PLAY DMAC...
He's 6'3 and good size, has great hands...I guaruntee if he plays he will do well. But he needs to be played, he needs to be given a shot or all his talent is down the drain.
He needs to get out of JG's Doghouse and onto the FIELD! Play Special Teams DMAC! DO SOMETHING! We need a big play, large Reciever.

What about Play Taylor Jacobs?
They are both #3 recievers at best...

We will see DMac and Taylor get their opportunities.
I really think that if both do some "extra" work this offseason to improve their timing with Ramsey, that both will make some contributions this year.

He has been playing and WILL get playing time this season.
BUT the thread is about using a BIG receiver in 2005. Jacobs isn't big and D-Mac is, which is why CP brought his name up.

Taylor is like 6'1'' 205, Art Monk himself wasn't much bigger.
Taylor is what I consider a "big" reciever.

Sorry, but Jacobs is the #3 until Gibbs decides, for some strange reason, that D-Mac is all of a sudden better.
Forget D-Mac for one game and watch Jacobs.

Right on, D-Mac is an afterthought, even to Joe Gibbs who recently said he'd be confident going into the season with JAMES THRASH and TAYLOR JACOBS as the starting wide recievers! NO mention of Darnerian 'the nonfactor' McCants.
Now that we have Moss I say that IF Edwards and Williams are gone then that makes Jacobs a starter.

McCants needs to learn to play ST and then he might see some time.

Danarian McCants puts on a good show when he's in the game. Moss should be a suitable swap for Coles, and Patton certainly can play as well as Gardner. Jacobs provides some good speed to the group.
All the receivers have some strengths, but the question is, will Ramsey be able to get in rhythem with them? McCants and Jacobs have some practice, but Moss and Patton gotta get their timing down this summer with Ramsey.
And hope that OLINE can stay heatlhy to give Patrick some time to find them!

all this talk that McCants needs to improve on special teams if he wants to play on offense is STUPID, even if it is coming out of the mouth of joe gibbs.
DARNERIAN MCCANTS IS A GOOD WIDE RECEIVER. he has ALWAYS been productive when he's been on the field. ALWAYS. and he is one of the best red-zone threats in the ENTIRE NFL.
"d-mac" needs to be played.

Well he needs to prove it off the field at practice. How else are they going to know it. He's a prima donna on the football field. I hate to say it but he's not far off from Freddie Mitchell. I see him being similar.

hey i agree that he should work hard in practice-- anyone who is being paid millions of dollars to play a game needs to work hard. i just think that special teams should have nothing to do with it.

He said he would play special teams...that's not the issue...there's something behind the scenes that we don't know about. He should be playing though / he can definately help this team....he proved that a couple seasons ago.
