I really think this was a good decision to put Lemar at mlb, some of you said hse is too small but did you know he is taller than pierce, and only about 10 pounds smaller? How do you guys think lemear will do at this position

10 pounds lighter than Pierce? Pierce was small for an inside backer. Marshall is not the answer, he will not be the starter on opening day. Williams had Pierce figured as our 4th best linebacker last year, and he likes for that guy to be able to play all those positions, but come September, I don't believe Marshall will be our 4th best backer, certainly not our 3rd best. He is a solid player and I'm glad we have that kind of depth, but we'd better hope someone else is in the middle.

Lemar can put on some wieght this offseason and if Gregg Williams puts Lemar there, then I trust Gregg. Has Gregg failed us this season? In fact, who would have thought our defense would finish third in the league?

Reserve LB only. We will look at other FA's and the draft for other options.

Marshall will NOT be the opening day LB. Rest assured.

What if we moved Marcus Washington to middle and put Lemar in the lft side.

Isnt Marcus a bigger guy? or would that be stupid?
'

Just heard the A Rolle had a great workout and 40 at Proday today.

At 229 he would get smashed in the middle.

I would rather bring back Mitchell.

If he can add the size, then I say he's what we need, if not...

Edgerton Hartwell, Tommy Polley, Rob Morris....

I figure that if Williams trusts Marshall at MLB, then I should, at least until I see otherwise. Last year, at first I asked, "Antonio who?"

Marshall is a fine replacement for Pierce, you can pretty much put anyone between Washington and LaVar and see good results

Marshall, Barrow or a FA. It doesn't matter who's playing at MLB, with Washington on one side and Arrington on the other, your game can only be good/improve. Size (10 lbs or 1 inch in height) won't matter as long as their a solid tackler and can take a beating. Those guys will force the plays to the middle or will make the plays themselves.
